Not as good as hoped - very small cabins

Room Type: Oceanview

I've been on five cruises and by comparison their entertainment was very poor. They had the same group every night which we felt was promoting scantily clad costumes and did not have actual singing and dancing skills. We expected to pay daily service charges but they also add 15% service charge on every purchase made on the ship. There are a lot more than average extra fees on this ship. Dinner is only included in two of their six restaurants and we could never get reservations at those two, so we spent almost $400 on dinners throughout the cruise. Cabins are very small and you can hear everything in the next room.

Pros: The decorating finishes were lovely

Cons: Staff is overworked. Ship has too many hidden charges.

Recommends Norwegian Dawn? Yes!

Ship Quality
The interior decorations are all high quality and lovely throughout.
Food and Dining
The restaurants you pay additional for are all excellent and high quality meals.
Entertainment
Worst entertainment we've ever seen on a ship and way too many homosexual overtones.
Cabin / Stateroom
Smaller than most cruiseships.
Service and Staff
The staff is expected to work 16 hour days and actually complain to guests about it.
Road Town, Tortola, B.V.I.
Excellent - do the private trip around the island with a cab driver.
Don't Miss: Distillery
Cayo Levantado (Samana), Dominican Republic
Excellent - do the El Limon Tour!
Don't Miss: El Limon
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Great deals on jewelry
Don't Miss: Great deals on jewelry
