Review summary

Best cruise we've ever had. From staff to food to drinks to entertainment....it was wonderful!!

Embarkation

Easy...Covid antigen test was required 4 days prior to and on embarkation day at port.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The buffet has many options...all fresh and tasty. Our favorite specialty restaurant was Moderno Churrascaria (Brazilian). followed by Le Bistro (French), Cagney's (steak)...but the most fun was Teppanyski (Japanese)

Onboard Activities

Wifi is $9.95pp for the entire cruise. This allows communication within the ship and use of the Norwegian app. I learned communication with family & friends thru FB Messenger and iPhone to iPhone was possible with the ship's wifi as well :)) iPhone also received "notifications" from home security system, travel (like airlines) and a few others. Couldn't open security system apps but did receive the notices. 250 minutes cellular was also included in the package...this could be used for further exploring the notifications.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
1) Starlight Theatre - The Las Vegas show was amazing...as was the last night's show...don't remember the name). 2) Rodan was by far our favorite performer...his talent is extraordinary. He plays nightly in either the Grand Atrium or Gatsby's. I highly recommend catching his shows. Robert...not so much.

Service and Staff

Waiters and room stewards were exceptional!! Our only issue was with laundry. Our suite included one Free Laundry Day (FLD) during this 11-night cruise. We chose to have laundry done day 6. The day prior to using FLD I called Customer Service Desk (CSD) to ask if dry-cleaning (which is a listed option on the laundry form) is included with the FLD. I was told "yes". I called again the morning of day 6 to make sure dry-cleaning is included. Agent said he believed it was, placed me on hold to check with Laundry Master...then assured me it was included. I added my 8 silk blouses & a sweater to the laundry bag, then gave the bag to our steward at 11am. Around 5 pm our steward (Darius...he is AWESOME by the way) informed me the Laundry Master said no dry cleaning was included and returned the (now wrinkled) blouses. I called CSD and spoke with the same agent as earlier that morning. After 3 more phone exchanges, I learned the Laundry Master explained "dry cleaning is only available on the larger Norwegian ships". Wrinkled blouses were what I had to wear for the remainder of our cruise. But other than that, the cruise was fabulous.

Ship tip

1) Check out deck plans. 2) Close balcony door before opening cabin door. I didn't know this...the suction was so great, I lost control of the door and it ripped a hole on top of my big toe. Oh...and bring band-aids or 1st aid kit as there are none in she shops or at Customer Service Desk. I was told I could go to Medical on Deck 4...I had already been there...they were closed 9:30am-6pm. Then I was told a machine is located just inside Medical's outer door. For $1 I could buy a band-aid. Didn't bring cash with me so I used vaseline and tissue to stop the bleeding. Found band-aids at supermarket at the next port.
