We had a good time, but I don’t think we will go on the Dawn again! We are smokers and the smoking section is at the front of the boat on deck 14 by the Bimini Bar and it was cold and windy up there most of the time in the evenings and morning! They also took out a few tables and made a small area even smaller. We were told that they were revarishing the tables but we also heard there were complaints from the people on the 12th deck about the smoke. We thought it was strange to have the smoking deck at the front of the boat. It would have been better to have the kids pool area at the front and the smoking at the back. Overall it was a good cruise and we had a great time! The weather was very chilly the first 2 days but other than that it was a great way to spend 12 days!!
Embarkation

Very quick and easy, we were on the boat within 30 minutes
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
We didn’t have the speciality dining package. Aqua was very loud, we liked Venetian but sitting at the back of the restaurant made me sea sick, loved Bamboo and O’Sheehans. The buffet was good also lots of options and good breakfast.
We spent most of our time at the Bimini bar and the drinks were good, the waiters were pretty good, but it did get busy there.
Bliss Ultra Lounge

Stardust Theater

The shows were great!! They were at 7:00 and 9:00 and lasted about 45 minutes. We saw a different show every night. We went about 15 minutes early and didn’t have any problems finding a seat. The Elements show was the best, I think it was on the 9th it 10th night.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our room steward, Nijitt, I hope I spelled it right, was great!!
The bar tenders were busy but did a good job.
The waiters at the dining rooms were good, meals took about an hour but were good!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship is a little funky on some floors but the ship was clean and easy to get around on.
Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin was big enough for the 2 of us with plenty of storage for all our stuff! Our cabin steward was great!
Ship tip
Get the patches for sea sickness! They worked great.
We took a tour around town, it was $15 each and available as soon as we got off the boat. It was good, we saw the highlights and they dropped us off at the shopping district, or they would take you back to the ship. We went to a fort and it was really cool, but you had to walk up a pretty good hill to get to it, worth the walk. Then ate lunch at The Parrot of old San Juan it was pretty good!
We took a land tour, Experience Antigua, I think that’s what it was called. It was a great tour of the country side that included an authentic lunch, and a great beach.
We took a tour from Cosol Tours! It was the best excursion we have taken on any cruise so far. St. Lucia is a beautiful island and we got to see so much of it without feeling rushed. The food and drinks were great!! Take your water shoes for the beach part, it was rocky but good snorkeling! I didn’t go in the mud bath but several people did and they loved it.
