Review summary

We had a great cruise, but there were some big issues. The ship was clean, the food was great, our cabin was comfortable. I paid extra for robes and laundry but found nothing in the room. When I asked at the service desk, they said we had to request robes and laundry. Huh? I paid for them and they were not supplied. No hair conditioner was provided. I didn’t know you had to book specialty dinners before the cruise. And the communications from the ship were disorganized and confusing that left us not knowing the time or how to get off the ship.

Embarkation

Getting on the ship was no trouble

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
From the buffet to specialty dinning, the food was great!

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
We had many days at sea and there was nothing to do unless you like trivia. Bingo was too expensive and our Spa Pampering Party (limited seats, sign up) was so crowded we couldn’t see or hear so we left. We had to make our own fun while onboard.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The shows were great but hard to attend as the theater was small.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff were great. The washy washy guy who sang silly songs encouraging us to wash our hands at the buffet was our best entertainment and our housekeeper deserved the extra tip we left in the room.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was clean and in good shape with the exception of the theater seats.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin was very nice with plenty of storage and a small refrigerator. It was comfortable and clean. The shower was and bathroom were very nice.

Ship tip

I would not not sail on a another NCL cruise

Lisbon, Portugal

5 out of 5
I liked Lisbon a lot and purchased some cork products as souvenirs.

Ponta Delgada, Azores Did not visit port

Too windy for us to make port so we sailed on.

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

5 out of 5
We did a glass bottom boat tour as a ship excursion. It was fun. The stop was short.

New York, New York

5 out of 5
We stayed a night in NY so see a play.

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
Took 3 hours of standing in line to get off the boat and through customs. Very hard for my mobility challenged aunt and other passengers. Also, no information on disembarking was provided by the ship. I had to go to the service desk to ask about the process.
