Review summary

NCL made a mistake on our air line reservation. We wanted to depart and return from Atlanta. NCL had us departing from Atlanta but returning to NYC. We immediately notified them of the mistake. We followed up almost weekly for the next six months. 10 days before departure we were told they weren't going to fix it and we were responsible for getting from NYC to Atlanta. Ended up costing us more money and than if we had not used NCL air travel service. Gibraltar excursion was a disaster. NCL is not to be trusted. We'll never cruise on NCL again. I wouldn't be surprised if NCL goes out of business. Anyone with money on deposit will probably loose it.

Embarkation

Went great for us but I talked to many who had to wait hours for the NCL shuttle from the airport to the cruise port.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Garden buffet one notch below Golden Corral. Manhattan /Taste nothing special. Cagney's way overpriced for the quality.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Trivia. Venue (atrium) sucked.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Six and Burn The Floor well done but not my thing. One comedian was the worst I've ever seen. Walked out after 10 minutes.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Excellent.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Our first and last cruise on a "large" ship. I hate having the atrium in the same room as customer service. You couldn't hear what rep was saying.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Nothing special. Small than inside cabins we've had on smaller ships.

Disembarking was unorganized. We went from the atrium on level six to the front of the ship up to level level seven all the way to the back of the ship outside then all the way to the front of the ship before exiting down a gangway which went all the way to the back of the ship. Very difficult for older guests.

Malaga, Spain Did not visit port

Gibraltar tour failed because NCL was unaware of new Gibraltar entry requirement. Whole day wasted.

Valencia, Spain

4 out of 5
NCL didn't have enough shuttle buses so we had to walk almost an hour to get to town.

Barcelona, Spain
