Overall I would not recommend the Norwegian breakaway to anyone based on our experience. We felt more stressed than relaxed almost the whole trip. We have several mistakes made and we waited for almost everything. There were lines after lines and everything was pretty and organized. Staff was not very friendly or welcoming. The food and bowl or a good overall but, the experience made all the difference in the world. We feel the boat was way over crowded and very understaffed.

We enjoyed the shows and overall ambience but, bartenders were often very grouchy and over stressed so it made Experience overall not great. We always had to wait a very long time for everything, especially at the poolside bars to get a drink and the bartenders were less than thrilled to serve us. The pool was very very crowded and it was hard to find a spot to sit or lay down every day.

Shows were great. We enjoyed rock of ages and burn the floor. Syds pourhouse was also great!

My daughter was 12 , I wanted the option to be able to have her go to the teen entourage because she is a very mature girl & did not want to participate in the kiddie activities but they would not let her so unfortunately she was stuck with us the whole trip and met no friends.
Service and Staff

Steward was fine. Service at Carney’s steakhouse was great but other than that... Bartenders were not good, neither was restaurant service! So slow and we were always waiting. Excursion staff not good either! Many mistakes were made, they lost a reservation for us for the Italian restaurant and told us we didn’t have a reservation even though we showed them right on our schedule. Then they realize they thought it was the wrong date. The ship just seemed very understaffed and all of the staff seemed stressed and not happy

Cabin / Stateroom

The cabins were very clean, although they were very small. Smaller than other ships we have been on but, kept clean. The drain in our shower kept clogging up and flooding the bathroom and the bathroom light went out so that was not fun to deal with.
Ship tip
I would not repeat another trip on the breakaway. We had heard great things and had pretty high expectations that were not met. We love to cruise and honestly have had better experiences on carnival cruise line then Norwegian. It was pretty disappointing and very pricey.
This part was terrible and we just had an overall bad experience on our excursion in getting on and off the ship etc. The port had way too many ships and we were very far away from where we needed to go. To get back on the ship they made us go through a very sketchy area that smelled of human waste.
This took forever! We were with hundreds of people stuck on a very hot stuff he ship in the middle of the smoky casino for about an hour and a half. We did not get off the boat for two hours past our time we were supposed to. Worst debarkation experience we’ve ever had
It seems like cruising is probably not for you. Based on this review and your previous review from a year ago, it appears you do not enjoy yourself and seem to have lots of issues when cruising. Most people enjoy yet, but it’s not for everyone
