Review summary

This was the worst first cruise ever! I used all my vacation time at work and it was not worth it. I thought I would love it and go every year since I'm young, but I dont think I'm going to again. It would be a miracle if I did. There was so many delays and medical emergencies. Like I said thank you to rodel and paul on deck 8 best bartenders in the world. Other then that I could've saved $2100 and stayed home. Also I see that it rates my score at a 2.5 out of 5, honestly it barely should be a 2 out of 5.

We barely had enough time. We got in at 6am and we had to leave early by 1130am even though we were supposed to be scheduled to leave at 1pm

Disembarkation

Horrible. So many delays, we were suppose to be back at 11am and I didnt get off the boat until almost 10pm

hummuf: sorry for the crappy cruise. I appreciate you detailing why it is was bad and I absolutely agree that cusstomer service, communication and correct information is critical when things go sideways. There really is zero excuse for passengers to feel abondoned during adverse conditions.

We were on this cruise as well, our 8th with NCL, and it was by far the worst. Not because of the medevacs or delays but simply because there was so much misinformation and tons of mistakes and misunderstandings. Many guests needed to rearrange transport home, but for us coming from different time zones it is a huge problem when NCL decides to shutdown internet access at night, every night, leaving us with no options of communication with travel agents, insurance company and airlines. We have never been on a cruise that felt like this, it constantly seemed that the staff was out of sync with most guests. Tons of mistakes in most dining venues, mistakes that we usually do not see. When we asked for information on even basic things we would get different answers. For instance guest service told us we could use their laptops with internet access between 2 and 3am so I could coordinate flights home. When I got there they informed me that the laptops were not available before 4am, so back to bed for one hour of sleep before returning to guest service only to be told that they actually only made the laptops available after 6am. For us most of our other experiences with NCL have been really good. Sure they make mistakes, but they are usually pretty good at resolving any issues at hand. That was not the case on this particular cruise. Normally we feel like we are at a 5 star resort when we cruise with NCL, this cruise was a 3 star at best. We see a downward trend with NCL, we have however booked one last cruise with them in the Haven hoping that this will give us back that fantastic feeling of a great cruise.

oh, not to mention that thee Breakaway was helping a cargo ship search for a man overboard just outside the bridge (before the medevac)........ and the Gem was still sitting at the terminal impacted by the weather..... smh

I try not to hang my rating on some other families medical emergencies. Once on the Magic we had 3! Even had to off load someone to the coast guard near key west, but still had a great time. It's what ya make of it to a certain extent, be flexible, ur on vaca!

Cruises are well known to be for newlywed or nearly dead. Id try one of the newer Carnival fun ships before you swear them all off for life.

Hard to be sympathetic about the disembarkation delay issue considering you cruised in hurricane season and were caught in a no'reaster....... and you had someone require a medevac which always sucks especially for the person and their family....... I am actually stunned you used "medical emergincies" as a way to justify your complaints.

Be grateful it wasn't you that had the medical emergency
