Review summary

The worst part of the cruise is the dissembarkation in NY. It was a Chaos, INSANE.

Breakaway hasn't learnt a thing. I was on it a few years back and the situation was similar. They have an extreamly poor disembarkation policy. They don't have clear instructions for luggage tags and luggage pick-up or waiting lounges prior to disembarkation. People were not following any order and walking on the ramp with two and three huge suitcases. It took over an hour to get off the ship, 40 minutes of which was in the cold. This STUPIDITY of Breakaway takes all the good 14 days fun away. THEY NEED TO FIX IT!

Cruise director DAN DAN is incompetent!

I went in Sept and getting off the ship was a cluster fuck. lots of unhappy people work that day. our luggage was not where it was supposed to borrow was our friends.

Wow your 14 day cruise was ruined by the disembarkation? Then you go home stressed, not fun

I think your frustration is clearly misdirected..... "people were not following any order" or "two or three huge suitcases" and it is your fellow passenger's "stupidity" to blame... not the Breakaway. You also did not read the Daily the night before or the instruction sheet at the luggage tag station where it clearly directs people to disembark at the time their color is called. When people have a 9:30am color and stand in line at 6:30am....that will bog things down on any line. You are allowed to stay in the comfort of your room until your color is called and there are a million public places to sit waiting disembarking so not sure about the private lounge area for 4000 people Having 4000 passengers and typically 50% go rogue will muck anything up The luggage pick up or anything that is land based (once you leave the deck 7) is 100% the responsibility of the pier personnel which is NEVER the cruise line. Breakaway can't fix that. TIP: get to O'Sheehan's around 8:00 and go over by the pool table.... there are bar stools you can sit and then when your color is called, you merge into the line leaving.
