Review summary

We booked an impromptu cruise for January out of NYC.  Great experience and no flights involved.  Took bus to Port Authority and then a cab to the dock.  Great trip and wonderful itinerary.  Great bar O'sheehan's where we had lunch almost every day and tried the drink of the day many times.  Food great, service great, entertainment could have been better.  Great dancers, however, and singers in main dining room.. Wonderful bartender:s: Junald Trazo, Ramil Santos, and Rohit Shetty.

Great steward. Nice cabin

Ship tip

O'Sheehan's great bar, great dining area for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. You can eat right at the bar with a nice menu of selections. Bartenders were great there, especially the 3 mentioned above.

How much was the taxi fee? Was thinking of doing the same thing in October

I live in Westchester as well and take metro north to Grand central and a taxi to the port when we cruised from Manhattan. We took the Breakaway 2 yrs ago in February and it was very crowded because it was Presidents week. It's a nice ship not a boat. There's a big difference. The itinerary goes to the same places and we've been there a lot. It's not worth going to pay a lot of money. I'd rather pay less to go places I've never been.

I love getting off the boat and being home in 30 minutes. I love in Westchester.

Every time I take a cruise w my kids or sister I take it from NYC no plane tickets expensive just have to take bus from MA which I don't like but once I see the cruise ship all the hassle going from MA to NYC is left behind and just enjoy every thing the cruise jajaja Can't wait for my next cruise which is with the husband taking it from Tampa, FL in April for my b-day Can't wait jajaja
