I have cruised several time and this was the worst, unorganized, ill-planned, and unfriendly ship I have ever been on. If it wasnt for the ports of call it would have been miserable. Our excursion, the Alaskan views, and those times with all the family we had on the boat is what saved the trip for us. My advise is book everything as soon as you step foot on the boat. Be aware of your excursion times, research the restaurants if you're interested and book all mlm of it right there by the elevators even before you go to your cabin.

A tip I would give is: 1) Expect no internet service - tell all your family/friends/work that they will only hear from you once you are in ports. Also 2) If you pay for the HAVEN make sure you are in the HAVEN. Our room was so far away from it (even though we paid for the HAVEN and had access to it.) While the HAVEN was nice, having a room that far away wasn't nice and truthfully, wasn't worth the upcharge for the huge inconvenience.

If going to Alaska on the Bliss know that the amount of people they are bringing to such small locations makes it so they can't accommodate everyone. Book EVERYTHING WELL in advance. We had shore excursions canceled on us due to them overbooking them, 3 months prior to sailing. Book all your activities close to a year out if you can because all the good stuff will go fast.

Book your shows and activities early. You can reserve some shows through your myNCL account. The others make sure you reserve as soon as you get on the ship. Reservations book up pretty fast.
