Norwegian Bliss cruise to the... by Funcruiser14

Sail date: /
Ship: Norwegian Bliss

Norwegian Bliss cruise to the Mexican Riviera April 2019 was fantastic! Fabulous ship, lots of activities and amazing entertainment, wonderful staff throughout, great food, beautiful weather - our family of 14 - ages 6-69 loved every moment! Now booked us all on her sister ship Encore to the Caribbean for 2020! Can’t wait!

A relaxing Mexican cruise by cathie48

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Norwegian Bliss / Destination: Mexico

This was our first Norwegian cruise and anytime dining. We didn't particularly like anytime dining. Missed having the same staff every night and getting to know them. We travel in a group of 10 and we never had a round or oval table which made it harder to catch up on our day. The promenade deck was small ( comparing it to Liberty of the Seas Royal Caribbean) The cruise director and his assistant were fantastic! Loved the activities they provided. It was an easy ship to navigate but definitely needs larger entertainment areas for seating.

Norwegian is a classy but non-expensive cruise line that puts the emphasis on service and great food. I had a fantastic time.

I've never done a review... by astrosgirl05

Sail date: /
Ship: Norwegian Bliss

I've never done a review of a cruise before but here it goes. We just did the 7 day Mexican Riveria on the Bliss. All I can say is 7 days felt like more. The positives. The ship is just beautiful. There is always something to do. The shows were great (though Havana made no sense to us and others). In my opinion the Cruise Director, Silas is the best in the business as is his staff. He is the friendliest person I've ever met, and cute too!!! Now some of the negatives. Overall the food is ok in the buffet and the regular restaurants. We also ate at Cagney's, Le Bistro and Teppenaki and the food was great. I wish they would improve the overall taste and selections in places you don't pay extra. My biggest complaint can't be controlled by NCL. There were quite a few jerks on this cruise. I hate when people are rude because they can be. Some people are just miserable even on a great vacation. Thanks for reading and if you have any questions, just ask me. I'll try to answer.

Relaxing vacation by surrey3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Bliss / Destination: Mexico

Ncl freestyle cruising is wonderful, the bliss is a very large ship with many things to do you have to find what suits you. For the most part the food is excellent the buffet can be crowded but the food is worth it We did four specialty restaurants Cagneys is by far the best the service at all was excellent .

This cruise was the best! It has amazing food , water slides, and activities! I recommend you try out this cruise! by Samanthalane88

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Bliss

Food was amazing! All of the staff was amazing also! Especially Walter Lopez he did a great job being our butler in the Haven! Our room was always clean and the person who cleaned it was Joseph Manalo. He also did a great job giving us a towel animal everyday! And at the Haven restaurant there was a waiter named Joseph did a great job giving us our food and drinks and also making us napkin animals and stuff! I’m not sure what Joseph’s last name was though. The Haven pool and hot tub was also fun the hang out at too! The main pool and water slides were also so fun also! All in all it was a great cruise!

Fun but scheduled cruise by SalinSuzy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Bliss / Destination: Mexico

Beautiful new ship. Loved the service, bars, and entertainment. I did not like having to book everything in advance and still have to arrive early. Lots of additional charges. I would prefer a larger golf area and a sports court instead of the go carts

Nice ship by Geoduderob

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Bliss / Destination: Mexico

we paid for the ultimate internet package and it was terrible. couldn’t stream videos smoothly constant start and stop. took 24 hrs to up load 4!pictures and a 15 second video to Facebook. Customer service did nothing to help or offer any type of compensation for their lake of service. Deserts you pay for in the specialty dining restaurants you can also get in the buffet for free which is disappointing.

BOOK DIFFERENT CRUISE LINE: DON'T DO NORWEGIAN by Thatlotrgirl

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Bliss / Destination: Mexico

I want to start with saying that Guest Services nerve took concern for complaints, never apologized, and consistently misinform/lie to individuals. There is also no way of getting a non-obscured view unless you book the most expensive rooms on the ship (Haven), or you work as the crew and get the best part of the boat for your leisure time (the bow, bridge region). There is a WINDOW view from the observation lounge of the front of the ship; however, there are only around 12-16 (1-2 person chairs) and they are always filled with people. The only way to get a completely clear view of the water front is from the Haven or the crew's view. ALSO: There were NOT enough BATHROOMS!! ALSO VERY LIMITED availability to get into ANY shows/comedies/entertainment. (BOOK SHOWS/EVENTS MONTHS IN ADVANCE) The only 3 reasons I would consider giving this 2 stars is that there were two individuals I spoke to on the phone were very helpful and I really enjoyed them (prior to the cruise), as well as the house keeping crew; I also greatly enjoyed the excursions, but was disappointed with the lack of time (zero time) to shop in Cabo, unless you don't book ANY excursion there). I would have marked poor (instead of terrible) without these experiences due to the several lies I was given from the same individuals from the Guest Services desk. There was a woman who "cackled" at me several times for asking one question about the ship. then two other men consistently changed their answers and never apologized for any inconveniences when I stated that my cabin mate and are very extremely disappointed by something (twice); one man simply shrugged and looked away, the others response was similar. I would inform them on the first two responses they would tell me, (only after they lied to me on several occasions), and they would backtrack, reveal some information and lie again. If I can not trust the guest services then I have no where to turn to for answers (all week). I also did not like that only the Haven and the crew members were allowed the best views from the front of the ship without any obscured views (windows, seeing parts of the ship, etc...). This angered me greatly, as I want non-obscured views and many others I discussed this with on the ship were infuriated; guest services was not useful as well. I also did not like having to watch my luggage outside of my room for 1.5 hours (calling guest service 3 times), watching someone tamper with it and guest services (once again) lying to me several times. "They will be there by 12:30am latest". so I waited. I told them several times I was staying up late, because I was sincerely worried about my luggage and they said don't worry about it. Then I contacted again at 12:30am and they said "don't worry about it". I then, AGAIN, informed them that I was watching it and staying up to watch it, and that I was willing to stay up all night watching it (night before disembarkation day) because I feared for my luggage after watching my neighbor tamper with the locks on my luggage. They finally (after I brought this up at 11pm, 11:30pm, and 12am, and 12:30am) told me they would call and send someone to pick them up. every other cruise line picks my luggage up (WITHOUT ME CALLING) between 2-10 minutes after I place my luggage out of the room at ANY given time that they ask for it out by, or by request. Worst experiences (for all 7 days) that I have EVER had with any cruise line. I have been spreading the word as I am a millennial with a large social following and my cabin mate is as well; that if you want honesty, integrity, good service, and good views on a ship; not to go on a Norwegian cruise. (as per personal experience). The food in the main dining and the cafe was bland/poor quality, and there was not adequate seating (you have to check other floors to move your buffet to, in order to eat during several times of the day). The pools/sundecks were also overly crowded and the running track has limited availability. There was one wading pool, and one normal pool. HOT TUBS were CLOSED FREQUENTLY. Norwegian does NOT CARE.

Awesome 15 day Panama Canal... by gbenson

Sail date: /
Ship: Norwegian Bliss

Awesome 15 day Panama Canal Cruise. Not many kids due to the time of year and length of cruise. Easy to get pool chairs and bar drinks. Very clean ship. Food was excellent in all dining rooms and the Garden Cafe had a great selection. Food was actually warm unlike a lot of cruise ships. Shows were great and book ahead. You can book the day of arrival. I booked comedy show every night when I boarded ship. Thermal Spa was awesome and great spin classes. I had tried Laser tag and had a great time. I could have easily done 30 days on this ship. I have cruised a lot and this is my favorite ship so far.

Great time aboard the Bliss... by cubfan0725

Ship: Norwegian Bliss

Great time aboard the Bliss going from Miami to LA thru the Panama Canal. Very clean ship! Food was excellent in all the specialized restaurants...went to Los Lobos twice. The bartenders were a lot of fun and very outgoing. Stop by the outdoor Mojito bar and see the Chocolate Cowboy! Best drinks ever

Panama Canal “Amazing “ by Sadberrycruises

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Bliss / Destination: Panama Canal, Central America

Enjoyed the cruise, a lot of wheel chair, walkers, scooter, canes, no problems with that just push a wheelchair thru the ship. Some one from the ship should be pushed thru the ship at boarding or disembarkation at ports, ramp angles way off, thresholds are tripping to experience the problems.

Panama on the Bliss by Harleys

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Bliss / Destination: Panama Canal, Central America

15 days flew by. Best restaurant is La Bistro. Public areas of the ship are too cold. 4 out of 6 of us all got colds or coughs. So, take plenty of vitamin C and something warm. Otherwise a nice, modern clean ship.

Excellent Panama canel cruise by windsordowns

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Bliss / Destination: Panama Canal, Central America

Excellent cruise, mostly older couples, very few children on this cruise. Staff friendly and helpful. Shows very busy - book early. Atrium level 6. Music too loud. Don’t visit guest services while shows are on. Avoid lifts use stairs where possible - buffet/ pool level 16 how many stairs can you climb. Consider this when booking your room.
