Best Ship in Alaska! by Midgett915

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Bliss / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

The Bliss was perfect for my 1st time in Alaska. The itinerary was jam packed but I was prepped for it. The only thing that was not as helpful was the NCL onboard app. It was not as helpful as other cruise lines and the Wifi was spotty. But who goes on vacation for Wifi! The excursions thru NCL were terrific. the bus drivers and guides were helpful and friendly. The food was great - alot of options. We didnt have the dining package and were shocked at the specialty dining prices, I was not expecting that high of cost for dinner - I was used to the flat fee, but the main rooms were just wonderful instead. The shows were WONDERFUL. SIX was the best I have seen on the seas in a LONG time.

I would highly recommend this sailing and Norwegian Cruise line! The ship was beautiful and spotless, there was all kinds of activities if you wanted to participate, and lots of quiet time to relax as well.

Gorgeous Alaskan Cruise by chelseakavcic

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Norwegian Bliss / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

this was my first ever cruise and honestly I thought it was wonderful! the ship was super clean and there was a ton to do on board. I loved Alaska so much, however I wish we had more time in the ports. Especially Ketchikan. That was by far my favorite port yet we were so far from the town and had such limited time to explore the area. Would absolutely go on another Alaskan cruise with NCL !

Just ok, it rain everyday. The wilderness environment is not for me. by redskins7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Bliss / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

This was a rescheduled cruise due to Covid-19. The itinerary changed from the original booking reducing the time for most of the ports. Why wouldn’t you provide time in one of the most popular ports (Victoria)? And why a late night visit? Victoria and the Glaciers were the 2 main reasons for the trip and I didn’t get to see either. Now that I’ve seen Alaska, I realize the wilderness is not for me. If you are considering going on an Alaska cruise checkout several cruise lines itineraries to ensure you have adequate time in port to enjoy yourself. Being from the east coast, time adjustment was a factor with 4: am sunrises and 10: pm sunsets. Also, be ready for rainy overcast days. At this point I’m not sure if I will do the Outside Passage. Sitka, Juneau and Ketchikan were the best stops on this cruise. I wouldn’t recommend using NCL for booking flights reservations unless you don’t care about flight times and connections especially if you’re booking way in future of your flight. There is no way to know what your flight arrangements will be and they are not willing to make changes.

Times in ports were short, because they added an extra stop.

Cruising on the bliss as always a pleasure. I wish the folks in the main dining room were a little less perky, but that’s just me.

Fabulous cruise! by snowmum

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

Over all a great cruise. Where there some differences between pre and post pandemic yes, is it a make of break NO! You just have to take a deep breath and go with the flow!

Mediocre Cruise by jonzeyk

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Bliss / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

Out of 23 cruises this was our first on Norwegian. It ranked at the bottom. I prefer more opportunities to listen to music. The shows other than Jersey Boys were a major disappointment.

A very relaxing one-way sailing LA to Vancouver; a perfect teacher Spring Break trip! by jeffykins

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Bliss / Destination: Coastal - West Coast

Solo trip for this teacher getting out of town during Spring Break / on Easter Sunday! I loved this one-way sailing from Los Angeles to Vancouver and will book it again in the next year or two. 5 nights was a great length, too -- short enough that it didn't take up all of Spring Break but longer and more relaxing than a weekend booze cruise!

Beautiful Bliss by RodPHL

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Bliss

With the Free at Sea promotion, the NCL Bliss was a very good value for the money. It’s a beautiful larger ship, and thee ship really is a destination unto itself. Next time, I would spend more time in the spa. Those heated, stone loungers were fantastic! This was my first Norwegian cruise, after having several canceled over the last couple of years, due to the pandemic. It was also my first cruise back, since the pandemic. I had a fantastic time and really feel like I got my money’s worth. I will definitely sail on this class of ship again, maybe even the Bliss again soon!

Post COVID cruise was great! by HunteR7411

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Norwegian Bliss / Destination: Mexico

Finally able to get on a cruise post-COVID was a welcome relief! The crew wore masks and cleaned all the time. Passengers needed to provide proof of vaccination and a negative COVID test 48 hrs prior to embarkation. Felt very safe and the lower capacity was nice (~63%)
