Review summary

Lines for everything, resulted in short time at the ports.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Delays in staff resulted in delays in boarding

Children's Programs

1 out of 5
Due to limited spaces in the splash academy, families were lining up an hour before it opened to get their kids in. Could have been better if they were organized better.

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
The friendliest staff were the folks in main areas, room steward and restaurant staff seemed irritated from the get go.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Would have been higher if they changed a few things on the ship. As the Bliss is mainly on an Alaskan route, there could be better design of the outside decks to accommodate the chilly weather.

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
Booked a family suite for a family of five, however there was a huge issue with the floor and had to get a new room. They didn’t have any additional family suites available and provided a balcony and inside cabin. Thus we had to divide the family, and the inside cabin had its own issues….door panel falling off, and was an end unit so it was smaller than a normal one.

Ship tip

If you love lines, this is your ship. Norwegian docks away from the main ports and you have additional transportation to the main areas of each port. Ship is better suited for warm environment.

Ports of call

Sitka, Alaska

4 out of 5
Nice little town, would have been nice to have more time if not for waiting for buses.

KETCHIKAN (WARD COVE), ALASKA

4 out of 5
Cool little town and a lot to see, however due to the time constraints for transportation you either have to go see one area or rush through everything and not be able to take it in. Also, we waited for over an hour for the bus both ways.

Victoria, British Columbia

3 out of 5
Nice little town, but another line for the bus. Very short time here and you arrive at night, this not much to see for families.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

3 out of 5
Cool little area, but not much to do. Excursion is a must here, I would have rather done whale watching here and seen Juneau.

CRUISE ENDICOTT ARM & DAWES GLACIER

4 out of 5
Beautiful floating through, however we could not get close to or see the glacier due to tiny icebergs along the route.

Seattle, Washington

3 out of 5
Busy as is right off a main road, port is not separate as in other locations.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Minimal information provided, and you had to go wait in line for guest services for times and bag tags.

Glad I went on Bliss in January/February when they were still at 33% capacity (only 1313 people - at most 6 kids, 4 teens, 15 or so millennials). I'm sorry you had to endure that horrible experience on your cruise.

Looks like they didn't heed my advice from 2020. I literally said the exact same thing
