Review summary

This was a theme group cruise so because of that we had a good time. The food, service, entertainment, were all great. The time at the ports were problematic. Being in port 6am-1 or 3 pm doesn’t work well. Other cruise lines have better itineraries for Alaska.

4 out of 5
The staff was friendly and helpful.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
It was nicely done. The observation deck looked a bit shabby,,,people really camp out there.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was nice, bed was comfortable. Close to stairs and elevator but not close enough to be noisy. If a a basic balcony room. Plenty of storage. It has a fridge.

Ship tip

Bring your patients! People are rude.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

4 out of 5
Seattle is a fun city to explore.

Sitka, Alaska

The ports are all great, the problem lies with the fact that NCL docks out of town and you have to be shuttled on buses to get to town. It can take a while to wait in line to get off the boat, wait in line for a bus to take you into town. You feel like a herd of cattle.

CRUISE ENDICOTT ARM & DAWES GLACIER Did not visit port

Captain said it was too foggy and too many icebergs. Very disappointing!

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

4 out of 5
No bus need for this port. Cool gondola ride

KETCHIKAN (WARD COVE), ALASKA

3 out of 5
Getting off the ship is easy, you walk to a large building which is filled to the brim with souvenirs to purchase. From there you get into a line to be shuttled 7 miles to the actual town. I’ve been there before and decided not to go.

Victoria, British Columbia Did not visit port

We were there from 8pm-11 ish pm. I’ve been before and didn’t think it was enough time to do something different.

Disembarkation
