Review summary

first cruise experience. wish we could have enjoyed specialty restaurants at lunch. I learned a lot and would like to cruise again, at least I have some knowledge for the next cruise. It was a good time, can't say I got very much rest but it was enjoyable. Had fun and it was a great experience. Was grateful I did not experience seasickness, kind of enjoyed the sway. who knew!

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Wasn't sure what to expect. Can't say it was the most exciting experience, certainly different and enjoyable.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
For the most part, it was very good, little disappointed in the lunch buffet.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
mainly hot tub, crowded many times.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Jersey boys fantastic Six fantastic Beatles experience fantastic Magicians kind of let down comedy show defiantly a let down

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
for the most part service was great our state room attendant Oliver Labatistia was fantastic all but one dinner at the Manhattan, Shameer Hameed manager side was fantastic, they would not seat us on his side when we asked and there was room disappointed on that the other side managed by someone else service suffered. specialty dinner great

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
was happy to see wash stations at buffet, just wish there was a better way to get everyone to wash. rest rooms were fairly clean. wait staff worked their butts off picking up after everyone, they rock

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
it was acceptable for the time on ship. or such a small space wish bench was more comfy Oliver did put a bed pillow on our bed helped a bit. We kept it organized during our stay and Oliver did a fantastic job for us such a heart for service!

Ship tip

the app was the most frustrating part. paid for both 9.95x2 to use and it was ridiculous service. we were in party of 6 and messages would take hours sometimes days to get to each of us. if you have a balcony room enjoy it in peace and order breakfast room service did this once wish I would have done this many times over.

Welcome to the wonderful world of cruising. I think every cruise is a learning experience, sometimes a lot and sometimes a little. Glad you enjoyed your first cruise and hope you have many more.

Thanks for the review! Alaska cruises are a different experience from the Caribbean, to be sure. Your short visit in Victoria existed only to satisfy a 100+ year-old federal law that says foreign-flagged vessels can't transport passengers between US ports. Thus, they always work in one "international" stop, no matter how short and perfunctory. I'm glad you enjoyed your time aboard, though, and hope to see you on a future sailing!
