Review summary

We always had to send back food, especially red meat because of the wrong cooking temp. Every meal from all restaurants we would order a Diet Coke and a Sprite, each time the order was wrong, it was a simple order. Food was cold from The main dining rooms, were not allowed to take food back to the cabin, not even our anniversary cake. Seafood was undercooked every time even though I filled out the allergy form stating I could not have undercooked seafood, chicken, eggs, or red meat due to just having a liver transplant and I am immunocompromised as well as my allergies to melon and tree nuts. However, I was given food 3 times that had coconut in or on it that the was not on item menu description. Most wait staff could not understand English, I asked to speak to a dining room manager once and after 3 attempts of asking the waitress said "manager ok" and then proceeded to walk around the dining room clearing tables. She either did not understand or did not care. I will say that we had exceptional service at the Ocean Blue restaurant even though their food was undercooked and cold, not to mention the mix up with the sodas. We never had a good meal aboard the ship even Carnival's food was superior to the NCL Bliss. We may never sail with NCL again since the food is a big part of the cruise. Maybe we will just skip the Bliss from now on and give another NCL ship a chance.

Onboard Activities

Comedians, Travis was great the other comedian sucked. The almost Newlywed game, and a lot of other shows in the Atrium.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The shows were ok but we are biased we don't like musicals. However, the actors, staging, lighting, and themes were great.

Too little time at this amazing port.

Victoria, British Columbia

Why even bother stopping there was no time to do anything. Just cancel this port and add more time in Ketchikan.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Sorry to hear about the food.

Too bad she can not see this since the cross posting only goes one way. Thought all cruisers knew by now that Victoria (as an example ) is a government mandated foreign port stop for all foreign flagged passenger vessels that use US ports for itineraries. As a confusion factor clarification “The Passenger Vessel Services Act” of 1886 actually predates the “Jones Act” of 1920 and is what causes that waste of time stop.

Appreciate your details. Sorry this cruise didn’t meet your expectations, especially the food.
