Review summary

Booking was TERRIBLE....our original booking was cancelled for no reason, without any communication. Alaska is a beautiful and wonderful place.....but I don't think we will be using Norwegian again. The logistics of the cruise were not there....and the early cruise dates I think were the problem. No one had the logistics worked out yet. The excursions were great, if not cancelled unexpectedly.

Embarkation

2 out of 5
Terminal and port crewmembers were nice, but communication was lacking. Boat Housekeeping staff was pretty rude when boarding. There was very little guidance on what to do when first boarding.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Bartenders and bar staff were excellent. Food staff were ok....but had little communication skills or personality. Restaurant staff at the buffet were smiling and great when asking you to wash your hands.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
We were unable to do any outdoor onboard activities due to the weather.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Love the Jersey Boys and the Beatles Experience!!! Majic shows were very entertaining.

Children's Programs

No children

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
Communication was lacking. Conversations were very brief, and less than half had answers to your questions.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Ship was clean overall, but there were spills of food and drink in multiple places that stayed for prolonged periods. We had to search for staff to notify to clean up these messes.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Was very clean, and size was adequate. Hardly any storage. Honestly, Carnival staterooms are much roomier and nicer.

Ship tip

Booking and onboarding is a hassle. You are on your own to find out information. Communication is very lacking.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

No excursion, but overall was interesting city.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Explored on our own....beautiful city, visitor friendly, but many shops closed due to early in the season.

Skagway, Alaska

Loved this town!! Take the Trolley Tour!

Cruise Glacier Bay

5 out of 5
Beautiful scenery.....

KETCHIKAN (WARD COVE), ALASKA

4 out of 5
Lumberjack show was awesome! Cultural tour needs more culture in the presentation. Our original excursion (Jeep and Canoe excursion) was cancelled for some reason....prob due to the early season weather.

Victoria, British Columbia

Expensive, and nothing really to do. Very little communication about how to do things. On your own for everything. Way too short amount of time if you wanted to do anything. Could have just skipped this port.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Again, on your own to find out information...but went pretty smooth.

From what I hear, any (NCL) Alaska cruise out of Seatlle is going to see shorten stays in port. 🤷🏿‍♂️
