Review summary

I don't like that the cruise advertising the race track and then finding out it is extra. I don't like that I was forced to buy open bar only to find out it doesn't include many drinks. Drinks seemed watered down and just not good. My boys that could not drink were charged for virgin drinks! I was so much more impressed with Carnival Panorma and paid a fraction of what I paid for bliss. BLiss was a MIss for me.

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was terrible, bingo, casino, and spa AMAZING

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
I loved the spa but no access to the 21 and over pool unless you pay extra. NO access to front of ship except if you are part of HaVen....most things for kids cost extra

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Didn't meet my steward until two days in to the cruise, many look overworked and tired. I felt bad.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Again, BIG ship but mostly rooms. Carnival Parnorama was so much more open and had many great hang out areas including the adult only pool.

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
Tiniest of cabins, beds were comfortable but I felt crammed in.

Ship tip

Get the SPA pass!! Absolute must. Do not get an excursion in Cabo. The Tender takes forever.

Ports of call

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California

Disembarkation

Forgot my phone, but once you are off the ship it is impossible to talk to a human person. I had to put in a claim and I am still waiting for my phone that I know I left on the night stand.

This review just reads as someone who didn’t do their research. Cruise lines always advertise stuff that isn’t free, it’s up to you to look at what’s complimentary (clearly stated). Nobody is forced to buy the open bar, and I don’t know how you can say it doesn’t cover much, but again what’s covered is advertised on their website. You could also have purchased a non alcoholic drinks package for your sons, you still have to pay for most non alcoholic drinks on other cruise lines too.

Oops sorry 😞 thanks

"Cabin" should be "Cabo". Autocorrect nonsense.

No one is forced to "buy the open bar". As far as Cabin is concerned: tendering is part of the experience! 😆🚤

Well the NCL website is pretty clear that the Bliss Speedway is paid amenity: --- ncl.com/cruise-ship/bliss/whats-on-board/activities --- Perhaps you didn't see that part?
