I have always appreciated the layout of the NCL ships. Our favorite retreat is the forward observation lounge, with its comfortable seating, relaxed atmosphere and panoramic views.

Review summary

NCL no longer docks in town, but rather at Ward Cove, a 25 minute shuttle from town. With limited time in port already, this allows for even less time in Ketchikan. Juneau was good, as always. With the ship docking in the dark, around 8pm in Victoria, it makes it a why bother getting off the ship. And that’s ok, since time on the ship is enjoyable.

Alaskan cruises out of Seattle are never good for port time. So I recently learned.

Ward Cove is new (2021), so it is still a work in progress. Hope any trips I take do not go there.
