The performers were impressive. I have no idea how they can sing and dance for so long and then do another show in the same night.

Service and Staff

I don’t know how they do it. They are friendly, professional, and make you feel like family. They do this week after week, month after month. I have a lot of respect for the employees. I wish they had more opportunities to get off the ship.

Location to the the Haven bar, lounge, restaurant, observation lounge, and courtyard was perfect. Very quiet room. Large balcony.

Ship tip

Book specialty restaurants early. Some were booked two to three weeks prior to the cruise. Same with excursions. Port Valet worked out perfectly for us. We loved the service. Also, be prepared to take the stairs if you’re able. The elevators were always full. We often took the stairs to go up 1 to sometimes 12 floors.

We did the zip liner. It was a rainy, foggy morning. We booked the earliest time at 7:15. Highly recommend booking the earliest time so you won’t have to wait long. The rain was uncomfortable but they gave us goggles. My rain jacket was perfect for this excursion. The employees working the zipline were all about safety and seemed to enjoy being there. We also walked along the beach and skipped rocks. Peaceful but not much to do there.

We did the NCL beer and whiskey tasting excursion. We didn’t care for the tasting but the people there were very friendly. The bus was the nicest I have ever seen. They should definitely advertise that in their description. Very luxurious! The driver was fantastic. He was very kind, funny, and professional. The bus tour was the best part. It was dark but we made the best of it.

Walked to the totem park. Beautiful day to walk around.

KETCHIKAN (WARD COVE), ALASKA

Our excursion outside of NCL was delayed by the fog by an hour. It worked out perfect for us. We took the shuttle to town. Walked around and saw everything before being picked up for the seaplane. After the excursion, the company took us directly back to the ship since the shuttles had stopped running by that time. We made it back with plenty of time to spare. The company was called Island Wings. Top notch.

We did a NCL excursion. It was the helicopter glacier trek. Wow! Amazing experience.

We ate breakfast outside in the Haven restaurant. We had signed up for Port Valet. When ready, we were escorted off the ship within minutes. Very simple.
