Review summary
Great: - We purchased Stateroom 4 months prior, received email to upgrade to Balcony Stateroom thru bidding. We put up $500. Upgrade was successful 5 days prior to sail. This is our first time crusing and I'd highly recommend Balcony Stateroom. - Staff are well trained. International group of people, mostly southeast Asians. They work on 10 hours shift daily, 9 months on and 3 months off. You can tell they value this work opportunity. I hope they are compensated well compare to their home country. (At the same time I don't think this work schedule will ever work for any Americans) - Clean. They really try to keep the cruise clean, inside out. Enough staff to constantly wiping down places. - Magnificent views. Every minute on the cruise, the scenary is like taken out of photograph. - Food. The cheapest option - Garden Cafe, has great food. It is not your $10 local buffet, it feels like a 5-star luxury buffet. Tips: Do not bother to go to their complimentary restaurants (Savor, Taste, Manhattan). Food there is just a mix up of Garden Cafe, yet you're paying extra tips. However, their specialty restaurants are great. We went to Teppanyaki and La Gucina. - Activities. Orders of preference: Hottubs, Pools, Waterslides, Lasertag, Go Kart, Ping Pong, Mini Golf. - Shows. SIX was a fun musical, not sure if kids would understand it much. Jersey Bros was cancelled due to covid positive. - Weather. We were lucky as only day 1 and 2 had little drizzle. Rest of days were sunny. YMMV. Not So Great: - GET A BOOSTER SHOT BEFORE YOU EMBARK. No matter how well they try to minimize covid exposure, by day 7 one fourth of people on boat will be coughing. I myself tested positive on day 5 and had to isolate at room.Embarkation
