Review summary

Covid testing at port before embarkation caused major delays. Also a group of over 200 people traveling together had not completed the ArriveCAN app that was needed and they were delaying people at counters trying to download and complete it. This was the worst embarkation experience we have ever had.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
It took 3 1/2 hours to get on board. Worst embarkation we have ever experienced!

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

3 out of 5
Too busy and not very clean

Sitka, Alaska

4 out of 5
Did a private excursion to bear and bird rehabs, and totem pole park.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Did the seaplane to the Taku Glacier lodge and had a salmon bake there. Excellent view of the glacier as you fly right over them?

CRUISE ENDICOTT ARM & DAWES GLACIER

3 out of 5

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

4 out of 5

KETCHIKAN (WARD COVE), ALASKA

4 out of 5
Time in port was way too short to really do anything. Shuttles needed because Norwegian docks far outside town at their own pier. Saw lumberjack show which was ok.

Victoria, British Columbia

1 out of 5
Got to port at 8:00 PM. Didn’t get off ship

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We used Port valet, which allowed us to disembark early, and not have to worry about luggage. Free to us since we flew first class.

I believe port valet is free for everyone in Seattle.

I'm sure that was the worst embarkment for NCL too. Why would a group of 200 think it would go over easy to be tested at the pier? Smh

Thanks for the review. It seems that none of the cruise lines have done a good job with informing people about the need to complete the ArriveCAN app for cruises to Alaska / Canada.
