Ship tip

There is a less crowded and bigger hottub aft on 17. Get the buffalo wings from Local Grill. Book Excursions in Icy Straight as there is not much to do in town.

Sitka, Alaska

The only cabs are hidden behind the bus warehouse. And tehre are only a few cabins in Sitka. We were lucky to get one. Book in advance! We did a 6.5 Mile Hike from Harbor Trail Head connecting to Gavin Hill Trail and ending in the Town of Sitka. It's a bit challenging at times. We saw bear scat on the trail, treked across snow, through clouds and dense green mossy forrests. This was a trip higlight and I definitely recommend for any advid hikers!

CRUISE ENDICOTT ARM & DAWES GLACIER

We didnt get to see Dawes because there was too much ice in the water. Endicott Arm was increadible. You will want a balcony as public viewing areas get croweded during this passage.

We rented our own Kayaks from Knudson Cove Marina, about 20 minutes from Ward cove. It's a great way to spend the day on a budget.
