Review summary

The 7-day Mexican Riviera Cruise was fantastic during the pandemic. I think the ship has been a lot cleaner than before. I don't understand why everything has to be closed on disembarkation day. I'd like to get my workout out of the way before getting off the ship but was told the fitness center is closed. The Specialty Dining is okay. I'd expect better food for the extra charge. I was looking forward to having Escargot or Lobster in one of the specialty restaurants but didn't see them on the menu. I think NCL needs to bring back Steak and Lobster night at the Main Dining Rooms and also Escargot as one of the Appetizers.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was good but a bit disappointed when I couldn't find escargot in specialty dining or at the main dining rooms.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Welcome Sail Away Party, Speedway, Laser Tag, New Year's Eve Countdown Party at the pool deck.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
I was disappointed on the entertainment. There weren't new shows nightly like before but was glad to see Jersey Boys on the last night of the cruise.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
I was sad to see our room steward got replaced by another steward. We were then erroneously charged for a carton of water, in which we didn't have in the refrigerator. I had to take time to get it ($6) removed from my final bill. I spent unnecessary time at the guest service to handle the matter and didn't get an apology. Having to be a loyal latitude customer, that was very disappointing.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
I thought the ship layout is too short. I guess that could be the reason why there was no Rock Climbing. The pool looks too small for a capacity of over 4K.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
We had a upgrade to Club Balcony Suite, cabin number 12782. I love the two sinks and a right size shower.

Ship tip

Always submit a bid to upgrade.

Ports of call

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California

The parking is convenient.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

I dislike the local people always follow you.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Mazatlan, Mexico

This port is a bit scary. We see tourist police in every block. Even though we felt safe but it's uncomfortable when walking and seeing tourist police in every block.

Ensenada, Mexico

3 out of 5
The local people are not very friendly.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
It was easy but don't understand why we were being rushed out of the cabin by 8 am.

Good review, though curious you felt unsafe with police around. 🤔
