Review summary

Overall we enjoyed our cruise, but since we did miss a port, it felt 2 days too long. We had 2 full sea days and were kind of going stir crazy by the end. Food was not the best and I wish they had more non-cost related activities. It feels like they Nickle and Dime you to death and are constantly trying to sell you something. Art, Jewelry, Bingo Cards, Deal or No Deal Cards, Excursions, Spa Services, Port Shopping, Specialty Dining, Racetrack and Laser Tag, Extra Cost Shows, and on and on.

Embarkation

Process went well, pretty long lines though. Excellent representative at counter. Very welcoming and friendly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
I wasn't that pleased with the overall dining. We ate at 3 specialty restaurants, as well as the main buffet and the Local. Some things very good, some not so much. Hard to find seating in buffet, so many time food was cold.

Los Lobos

4 out of 5

Upscale Mexican Food here. We did enjoy it, but not everything was wonderful. The Elote and table side Guacamole were both excellent though, so givethem a try.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Great ship for the Caribbean with great pool area and water slides, etc., but not so much for Alaska, except of course for the wonderful Observation Deck. I wish there would have been more in the way of games, etc. especially on sea days.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Wonderful live shows and entertainment. The Beatles were exceptional, as well as Jersey Boys and the onboard comedy shows. Late night in the Social with the DJ were always fun.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Most all staff were very helpful and friendly. There are always those couple that were not.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Good layout. Could use more elevators, but overall easy to get around.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Size was great, lots of storage space for your things. Very clean and comfortable. Bed very comfortable as well.

Ship tip

We felf like our cabin was in a perfect spot. Midship a little forward. It made access to most of the places we hung out very convenient.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

5 out of 5
Fun place with lots to do.

Juneau, Alaska

4 out of 5
We enjoyed the Mendenhall Glacier, but not so much but shopping in the City itself.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
We did a tour and then walked the city. Lots of shopping, but also some historical places to visit as well.

Cruise Glacier Bay

5 out of 5
Just gorgeous. Be sure to bring binoculars with you for this day.

Ketchikan, Alaska Did not visit port

Due to weather, we were unable to visit this port.

Victoria, British Columbia

2 out of 5
Pretty boring. We took a tour around the city and got some nice pictures, but not much here but shopping. There is a good night life scene, but we were not in port long enough to enjoy it.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We did self assist and it was easy breezy.
