Review summary

Enjoyed it a lot other than the smoking area(s) which I addressed above. Please don't make us smokers feel like 3rd class citizens. We deserve a little more respect.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Good, but I had help from 2 family members as I use a walker.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Buffets were a C+ to B depending on the selection. Seafood night left a lot to be desired & what shrimp was offered was all overcooked. The Local & The Manhattan were B to A. Unfortunately, I didn't eat at the other restaurants. I heard the BBQ restaurant was really good.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Did not do any but the folks that did had a great time.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The Jersey Boys was a good show, my group didn't care for Havana. Watching the game shows & small bands were good. However, I missed The Cavern Club which our group liked.

Children's Programs

No children in our group

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was excellent!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Everything flowed well throughout, common areas were perfect, Atrium areas were beautiful as were the shops. We smokers froze on Aft Deck of 17 and the smoking area & bar could use the large outdoor heaters. This was the only smoking area on the entire ship other than the casino. I know there are fewer smokers, but folks vape & there is plenty of area, but please heat it! It feels like you're punishing your smoking guests. Most of us would be more inclined to book again if smokers were treated a little better. I must commend 2 servers on 17, Luigi and Fredrick from the Phillipines. They treated all us smokers to A Class service! Especially Luigi!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Bed is a little hard, but all in all, the inside studios are perfect for single travelers. We had our own secure hallway and lounge.

Ship tip

Take advantage of on board activities & shore excursion. Eat at the other restaurants other than just the buffet.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

5 out of 5
The Public Market & eating Alaskan King Crab or Dungeness crab, the Big Wheel, walking around & site seeing.

Juneau, Alaska

4 out of 5
Very cold, foggy & rainy but we went on the tram up the mountain. Eat at Tracy's Crab right on the water. Visit Alaska T Shirt Shop for good but not expensive souvenirs.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
Loved Skagway downtown and we took the train ride. The train is not to be missed and well worth the fare.

Cruise Glacier Bay

Stayed on board on Deck 17 and marveled at the area.

Ketchikan, Alaska

I didn't get off ship but viewed from deck.

Victoria, British Columbia

Absolutely beautiful little port. Did not do an excursion due to short time in port.

Disembarkation

Not as long as I had thought. I had help however from 2 family members.
