Review summary

An amazing cruise with a very good captain. This reflects also in a happy crew. The ship is spotless and in a very good shape. With 2500 guests onboard but it doesn’t felt crowded. Breakfast in dining room was chaos in the first days of the cruise . There’s some improvement needed on that side.

When you are here the first time, definitely take the train. Another great shore excursion is a visit to stegastein viewpoint

Usually the ship dock in Stavanger itself. This time in Sandess (1 town further in the fjord). Stavanger is awesome, as you dock in city centre. When you dock in Sandess, HAL provides a paid shuttle to Stavanger. I would recommend to book a tour, or take a taxi to Stavanger.

I was there on Sunday, and all shops are closed. It’s a gorgeous town. You can walk from the ship. But if you have difficulties with walking, you can take a paid shuttle which drop you down town. Beware that you need to pass a steep bridge
