Review summary

We are not frequent "cruisers" so 17 days was a bit much but that is no one's fault. We were comfortable and had an enjoyable and relaxing vacation, which was our primary goal.

Almost 100% of the staff members were friendly, professional, helpful, competent and delightful to be around. Holland America excels in hiring great staff.

We loved our cabin (thanks to Brian Stringer of Delta ) for the suggestion! It was larger than we expected and had a great view over the front of the ship

Ship tip

Be prepared to be "sold" frequently. Clearly the staff is trained and motivated (compensated) to sell you products and services. It can get a bit old but just be prepared to say "no" if you're not interested.
