Ship is too big by FrancescaT

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Ive been on quite a few cruises, the activites on this ship were the worst, olny games on the last day, you had to sign up for rock climbing and it was olny for a few hours in a day and then always booked, ice staking was the same. The pools were small with no slides, there were no table and chairs outside, Im on a cruise I want to enjoy the outdoors eating breakfast or lunch or playing cards. they also didnt have that much dancing by the pool. I know there were 3000 people on board but I guess next time I will have to stick to smaller more personable ships. On the bright side the wait staff and room attendents were wonderful, and the food in the main DR was great.

A great getaway by GaryD7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was simply spectacular. Although there were approximately 3,150 passengers traveling, we rarely felt crowded whether at the pool, dining or at the shows.

Excellent Vacation! by LizaC

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was our first cruise so we have little to compare it too. Nonetheless, our family of four (with 7 and 9 year olds) found it to be an excellent vacation for the value. The crew and service were fantastic and the ship was truly amazing with so much to see and do. The only "con" was the cluster to disembark. While it seemed there was a system, it was poorly organized and took longer than we expected. Psst...If you're willing to risk an excursion being booked or full, try booking onsite vs. paying a chunk of additional commission to the ship.

Once in a lifetime by ArleneR1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The experience of being on this overwhelming ship with all of its fine decor and fabulous dining with my mom was a dream come true. Just being able to share all of the excitment and luxury with my 88 year old mom was a wonderful treat. She was like a kid in a candy store between the fabulous fine dining ,beautiful scenery, gorgeous room and balcony ,unbeleivable shows, fun port in mexico , activities galore etc. etc. She was so busy that she slept like a baby!!! I would reccomend this trip to all of my friends and family...Thankyou again for making this trip once in a lifetime to share with someone special to you...

The Best CRUISE !!!!! by RicardoT

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Our overall impression was the size, i could not believe of how big it was. It may sound funny, but it was our first cruise.Thats why i said how big the ship is. But i asure you it won't be our last. The pampering everyone gives you is just to much. Now that i am home i feel lazy that i have to do things at home. Like: Do the dishes, heip my wife make the bed, and enjoy the pool and music with all the drinks made to may desire. I think i will not fly for a long time. Because i am hooked on Cruise! If you never been on a cruise, what are you waiting for!!!!!

A SURPRISING GOOD TIME by AlanE1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

THE BOAT WAS BEAUTIFUL, THE CREW WAS GREAT, AND THE ACTIVITIES WERE EXCELLENT. I HAVE 3 MINOR COMPLAINTS.1)THE FRUIT WAS HORRIBLE ALL CRUISE LONG. 2) I RECEIVED NO INFORMATION ABOUT THE DINNER DRESS CODE IN THE MAIL. I READ IT ON THE BOAT WHEN WE WERE UNDERWAY. I BROUGHT NO LONG PANTS SINCE I LIVE IN FT. LAUDERDALE NAD WAS GOING TO JAMAICA. MY HEAD WAITER WAS GREAT AND CUT ME SOME SLACK SO IT WORKED OUT. 3) I WENT TO THE FREE CHAMPAGNE ART SHOW FROM 2-4 THERE WAS NO CHAMPAGNE WHEN I GOT THERE AT 2:30.THE SHOW WAS GREAT BY THE WAY OVERALL I WAS IMPRESSED BY THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE ESPECIALLY SINCE I LIVED ON A SHIP FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS WHILE IN THE MILITARY. FROM MY WHOLE FAMILY ESPECIALLY MY 4 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER THANKS!!!!!!!!

Transatlantic cruise by SallyC7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Transatlantic

This was our second cruise this year on the Navigator. This was a 14 day transatlantic. We love the Royal promenade style of this ship and especially adore the Wine Bar before dinner. The bedding is more comfortable than on any other ship we can remember. We slept like babies. We did wish that the adult pool could have been covered and heated so that we could swim every day. Our only real complaint was the food in the main dining room. It was definitely geared to the British market and wasn't good at all. Such a disppointment this time. Also, no more lobster ever !! Such a shame.

Great Cruise by GeneW1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

The Navaigator of the Seas was great ship. The theather and restaurant are excellent facilities. Entertaniment was good- other than one or two dodge acts out of 14. We enjoyed the food and all the meals were good / great. We enjoyed the health club and my children LOVED the kids club, especially my 5 year old daughter. The only complaints are there was a shortage of deck loungers on nice days- the only way to get one near the main pool was to get out there before 10am. There was one day we didn't even stay out because there was nowhere for us to sit. The excursions were OK but seemed a bit rushed- we might have done better goin out on our own. As a mater of fact we did at Cadiz and it was one of the best days. The excursions seemed to a money making venture NOT for the benefit of the passengers. With that said, we enjoyed the cruise and would do it again and would sail with RC and the Navaigator.

14 Days is what you need to relax! by CarlosM4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

My cruise: 30. June 2007. I was on the same ship 1 year ago (south caribean/7 day cruise). FOOD: The food from buffet was ok, but I can't tell you what was wrong with the food from the dinner (main sitting). Every body (excluding the first time fellows) was complaning about the food, 75% of it with no taste or the same as from the buffet. I tried different soups... I gave up! I guess the problem was with the chief. If food is a issue (and it will be during a 14 night cruise) then make sure you get a good deal! SHOWS: Very good, and they try very hard to make each and every day a good show. SERVICE: Not allways 100% as usual on a USA cruise and this has to do (imho) with the small amount of american people on the ship = small amount of tips.

Not for me by VictorD

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

Portuguese is the third most spoken language in the world. To have NO Portuguese speaking persons at the Kids center is a huge mistake. My kids went the first day, began crying for their parents and no one could understand them....they never wanted to go back. The Connoseur's club best cigar is a 10 dollar dominican...their best scotch is a 12 year old scotch....call this Connoseur? You would think paying 10.000 for a stateroom at least a cup of coffee or a soft drink might be free....everything costs extra.....a refill cup for coke costs 75 dollars....what a rip off. Food is average at best....i understand cooking for 2000 people isnt easy, but its hardly gourmet.....went to gourmet restaurants on board, those were good....but at 100 dollars a head extra....they better be. one third of the games in the arcade don't work, they take your money, then you have to call someone that takes an hour to arrive and only credits one game per machine....needless to say one game can cost 2 dollars ...another ripoff. ship was big, clean, all that suff.....quality was poor...service ok...they try hard but the money a cruise costs....there are other better options.......

Navigator of the Seas is absolutely beautiful! Very large and very comfortable...so if you are looking for a small intimate environment, this is not the ship for you. The service, food and entertainment was top notch.

Spectacular, Outstanding, Fantastic! by SusanH18

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

My husband and I along with his brother, sister, sister-in-law, father and step-mother planned a family cruise together. It gave us the opportunity to spend time together and best part is my husband and his brother would go to bed and my sister-in-laws and I would stay up late and end up the night at the grab and go. We all agreed it was the best of times.

What a Nice cruise experience! by YamaryG

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We recently took a cruise for first time and all that I can say is "That was a real wonderful experience". The Navigator of the Seas is an impressive vessel and it makes you feel like a brand new ship. A lot of attractions were available at any time, so you have to choice among different activities and have the flexibility to change the ex-shore (excursion shore) in case of you miss the tour already booked and confirmed. Nightlife was absolutely amazing. The staff was very professional and gave us a very good service. The Windjammer buffet was good and managers should consider increasing low-fat options for lunch, such as different kind of proteins, salads and tempura vegetables.
