Great Cruise

Sail Date: June 30, 2007

Traveled As: Family w/young children

Room Type: Oceanview

The Navaigator of the Seas was great ship. The theather and restaurant are excellent facilities. Entertaniment was good- other than one or two dodge acts out of 14. We enjoyed the food and all the meals were good / great. We enjoyed the health club and my children LOVED the kids club, especially my 5 year old daughter. The only complaints are there was a shortage of deck loungers on nice days- the only way to get one near the main pool was to get out there before 10am. There was one day we didn't even stay out because there was nowhere for us to sit. The excursions were OK but seemed a bit rushed- we might have done better goin out on our own. As a mater of fact we did at Cadiz and it was one of the best days. The excursions seemed to a money making venture NOT for the benefit of the passengers. With that said, we enjoyed the cruise and would do it again and would sail with RC and the Navaigator.

Pros: Kids Club & Service

Cons: Not enough deck loungers and excursions

Recommends Navigator of the Seas? Yes!

Ship Quality
Absolutely spotless and clean. A little too much wasted space for the sake of asthetics.
Food and Dining
Great service/ Good food/ Great selection
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
Children's Programs
Best part of the cruise if you have kids!
Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy
Lisbon, Portugal
Not much there. Wasn't impressed with the tour- as usual, there was 50-55 people for one tour guide and we felt rushed.
Vigo, Spain
Samil beach is really nice (but the water was cold). Don't use the RC shuttle- taxi from the shop just off the ship was 8-9euro (saved us $50) each way and was nicer and quicker. The beach is nice. There are restuarants and a water slide and a free pool for kids on the beach There are taxi stands at the beach so getting back is a breeze.
Ibiza, Balearic Islands
Beach is topless.
Cadiz (Seville), Spain
Loved Cadiz! Great little town to walk around and several beaches to vist. I wouldn't use a ships excursion here. There a hop-on hop-off tour buses just off the ship for 10euro. If you want to go to the beach there two- one in town by the fortresses (nice) and one just outside the main town, on the Atlantic which was also nice(better waves)- use a taxi it couldn't be more than 5-7 euros each way.
Gibraltar (U.K.)
Watch your snacks at the snack bar outside the tunnels!
Cagliari, Sardinia
Beach was really crowded, maybe because it was a Sunday but beach itself was not that great.
