WONDERFUL TRIP GREAT SHIP by slinky58

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Relaxing, beautiful, love the ship.  The only thing I hated, was taking too long to board the ship, and exit.  I also did not like the fact that in Labadee the shop keepers swarmed on you like vultures.  Other than that, it was a wonderful voyage. The crew are professional, and cater to your every need.  Love it.

Service was awful by richdonna

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We have been on many cruises and I would have to say the food and bar service in this cruise was not the best! We did find one bartender that was amazing and took very good care of us but he was the only one. The food and the service has gone way down hill

Very good cruise by bbaul

Loved the ship and the tours.  Jamaica and the Grand Cayman  islands were beautiful.  I went on the tour to the Turtle farm.  Our tour guide Dennis was excellent.

Good and bad by smnrunner

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We had a good time overall, but there were many things lacking.  Very crowded, pool area too many people.  The day going to Jamaica, for early excursion, the breakfast area was not opened earlier to accommodate.  The exiting process was very long, felt like we were waiting for a ride at Disney.

This was my first cruise, and not looking to book another one.  I think cruises might be good for people in groups, but not a couple.

Also, the cruise director seemed to be not engaged.  We barely saw him, and the only time we did, other than announcing the evening acts, did not seem to acknowledge the guests.

Also, for formal night, we had dressed up in a suit and dress, while people in the dining room, were in gym shoes, t-shirts and jeans.  I think the minimum requirements, would be no jeans, or gym shoes and a collared shirt.  If that isn't possible, for that evening, people not meeting the formal attire, split them to another floor.

Wonderful Cruise on Navigator by carrielsmith

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

We had a great six day cruise on the Navigator. The Ship was beautiful and the food and staff could not have been better. The Seas were very calm and our entire cruise was so smooth.

Navigator of the Seas by rachelroseh5201

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Enjoyed so much my recent cruise to Grand Cayman, Falmouth, Jamaica and to Labadee, Haiti, my favorite. I am a Gold Member.

Your staff is tops, I cruised on another ship, but no comparison at all.  Staff polite and respectful in every way.

Keep up your high standard, and I will book another cruise with Royal Caribbean.

I tell everyone about my experience on RLC.

Private Island Tease by cflorer

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

In spite of all the wonderful beautiful photos of the exclusive and private island of Cococay, it seems they are only able to stop there about half the time. They don't mention that the number of places they visit will be reduced by 50% without any reduction in the fare, but that's the way it is. We did have a good time on the boat while we passed by the private island destination. I do understand that since the island has no dock that the seas are often too rough to offload on to the "tender boats" that ferry you to the island, but they should be more clear that you chances of getting to the private island are not great. Otherwise it's kind of like a tease. Other than that it was pretty much like we expected. The included food was good but not so good that you didn't want to pay extra for the specialty restaurants (naturally). There were the expected mandatory gratuities, ...which they should just be honest about and add them to the fare since you can't travel without them. There was the begging for a perfect review from everyone from the Captain to the Porters. However, all in all it was a good time and something I would do again.

Never got to go to Coco Cay. The ship wasn't able to dock. by dawniebabe420

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I was so disappointed with my cruise to Cococay and Nassau.  I was expecting to spend a day at the beach (which I paid for) and the ship did not dock there.  We went to Nassau and docked the following day.  If I wanted to go to a beach there I would have to pay an additional fee for an excursion. I probably will not be recommending that cruise to anyone.  It was a total waste of money when you don't get all you paid for.  With the ship not stopping at Cococay, the pool was extremely crowded and not worth it.  I would like if you could direct me to the person to talk to about my experience

First time cruising on the Navigator of the Seas for February break by donnalevy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We cruised last February on the Oasis of the Seas and there is no comparison.  Oasis is so much nicer, with more to do and see, classier, better food selections, shopping, entertainment, etc.

Navigator is a smaller ship so don't have the crowds which is a plus. The cruise was adequate but I wouldn't be a repeat customer.

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

From the beginning of our cruise to the end of our cruise we had soo much fun. We loved all the food in both the buffet and dining room. We loved all the amenities such as rock climbing, mini golf. Dancing was a highlight for us too both on deck and at the lounge. We can't wait to come back!

Although we have done several cruises and many on RCL, this one just didn't seem to be up to par!  Food was average, musty odor in on board, average service, entertainment not the greatest!

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Overall, the cruise was wonderful.  We traveled with a group of 58 and although we were not booked as a "group" the staff on board did everything to accommodate us.  The kids we traveled with were very happy with the full size basketball court but said that the ship would be better off with slides than the surf rider.  Service was very good throughout and there was never an issue finding lounge chairs outside.  The one complaint that I heard over and over throughout the group was that their late night snacks were lacking.  Beautiful ship, comedians were great and there Quest Game was out of control!!!

Had a ball on the Navigator of the Seas by loloteaches

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Our family vacation on Navigator of the Seas was wonderful, warm, fun, exciting, and so relaxing.  Joy, the representative for Cheap cruises, was very helpful in booking our cruise and made sure to call me to update me or send me emails as reminders.  It was easy and fun and we got some on board credits too!

Thank you,

Lois REdnickLove

Too expensive , too slow boarding by Cruiser556

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Checking in and out was over an hour of standing.  Unacceptable. Prices for drinks were outrageous.  $14.00 martini, $8.50 for Jim Beam and coke.  They would not sell you liquor to use in your room.  They did open connecting balconies.  Even though the rules say no, they did let us carry on bottles water and canned soda.  Personally, I did not like the promenade (city street area).  It was like being a hotel, not a ship.  It was too crowded and way too hot (not air movement).  There was no outside area to take your buffet lunch to eat.  Too much money was spend on the climbing wall and the surf area, for the number of people that used them.  I would not book this ship again.  Eentertainment was the worst I have seen on a ship.

Average cruise, at best by mdwvufan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Entertainment and food in main dining room below average. Ports of call were fine, but should not be consecutive days.  Although most of the crew spoke English, it was very poorly pronounced and very difficult to understand!

Absolutely Wonderful! by ilvmygoldens

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was my 5th cruise with Royal Caribbean and, as in the past, I was not disappointed.  The ship, Navigator of the Seas, was beautiful and extremely well-maintained. Our stateroom was fantastic...we had a balcony and the room was so much larger than an inside stateroom with plenty of room to spread out and even unpack!  After being in this room I don't think I would do another cruise without the balcony stateroom.  The food on the cruise was outstanding with a selection to please anyone and everyone.  Both the Windjammer food and the main dining room food were delicious though the portions seemed a bit small in the main dining room.  We had my-time dining and found it easy to make reservations on the nights we chose to eat in the dining room.

The service we received was, as in the past, totally outstanding.  Every staff member we encountered was pleasant and willing to help us no matter what the issue and the entertainment was awesome.

I know I will cruise again and it will definitely be with Royal Caribbean.

I love Royal!! by CarolL6

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I am never disappointed when on Royal.  A-1 all the way.

No hidden charges!  ie free entertainment! Great food! Good service.

Went on Norweigien a couple of months ago (booked by my son) and was totally disenchanted.  Extra charges for everything.  $7.95 for room service.  Charges for 2 of the 3 main shows.  The rooms and hallways are smaller and the public space is shoulder to shoulder on sea days.

6 Night Western Caribbean Cruise by TomandSandee

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The overall cruise was okay, I have had better.  The entertainment and main dinning hall could have and should have been better.  I had to contact customer support several times prior to the cruise for ?? or unable to print documents that I need from the Royal Caribbean website.  The information given to me by customer support was incorrect and did not appreciate the wrong information or being lied too when I found out when I got on the cruise.  Stopping at Labadee, Haiti was the highlight of the cruise.  I will give Royal and great big 10 for what they did here and this is a must see stop.  You cannot take this through the other cruise companies because is Royal's private island stop for 1 ship.  After 9 cruises, Labadee is the best stop we have ever been on by far.  Royal needs to pick up there game or the will be left behind by Carnival because I was actually having a hard time finding fun stuff to do on the cruise.  Yummy
