The ship is a bit smaller then the newer ships BUT the service and quality of the food and staff are the same.  Everyone is so helpful, courteous and it is amazingly organized!!  I will continue to only use Royal Carribean!!!!!

Overall good trip by martinsharondez

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Grand Cayman dolphin experience very good. Boats back to the ship were slow, big line and long wait to get back from port. Jamaica was a good port, though it's really a fenced in area created for tourists. Labadee Haiti is also a tourist area created by the cruise ship rather than a real visit to Haiti. But what they created was clean, safe, and full of lovely beaches and activities. The ship was clean, the food excellent, the activities onboard were varied and frequent. Cabin service was excellent. Beds were firm but comfortable. Overall very good trip.

some cabins should not be rented out. I guess they would be ok if the occupants wanted to party till 3:15AM by dvoss03

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We were in cabin 1834 on the 12th deck.  These cabins have been added and are above the swimming pool where a party takes place until 3:15AM and the bed in our cabin rocked with the bass.  We called and they said they would turn down the volume and it would be over by 2AM.  When it was still going on we called and they said it was a full party and they couldn't shut it down.  The hotel manager Norman and his assistant (I think Edward) credited us one day of our cruise and gave us 25% off our next cruise.  They also said they would address the issue.

In the mean time don't assign cabins 1888-1876 or 1826-1838 on the 12th deck.

Traveling with the masses by gam26252

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The ship was full but there were still many places available for seating outdoors, in the show areas or in the cafeteria. Staff was courteous and efficient.

We didn't appreciate the constant upselling for dining, tours of ship areas, spa, shopping and casino. Casino was a smoking area and the smoke permeated the surrounding areas (lounges and the are above it on the main promenade). They need a better air filtration system to control this. We avoided theses areas.

Be aware that 18% gratuity is added to any drink purchases and they also add a line for additional tip.

Arrival and departure was very slow going. The arrival process could have been expedited if they had more attendants. The departure process was impeded by poor announcements. Customs staff was efficient.

WONDERFUL TRIP GREAT SHIP by slinky58

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Relaxing, beautiful, love the ship.  The only thing I hated, was taking too long to board the ship, and exit.  I also did not like the fact that in Labadee the shop keepers swarmed on you like vultures.  Other than that, it was a wonderful voyage. The crew are professional, and cater to your every need.  Love it.

Service was awful by richdonna

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We have been on many cruises and I would have to say the food and bar service in this cruise was not the best! We did find one bartender that was amazing and took very good care of us but he was the only one. The food and the service has gone way down hill

Loved the ship and the tours.  Jamaica and the Grand Cayman  islands were beautiful.  I went on the tour to the Turtle farm.  Our tour guide Dennis was excellent.

Good and bad by smnrunner

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We had a good time overall, but there were many things lacking.  Very crowded, pool area too many people.  The day going to Jamaica, for early excursion, the breakfast area was not opened earlier to accommodate.  The exiting process was very long, felt like we were waiting for a ride at Disney.

This was my first cruise, and not looking to book another one.  I think cruises might be good for people in groups, but not a couple.

Also, the cruise director seemed to be not engaged.  We barely saw him, and the only time we did, other than announcing the evening acts, did not seem to acknowledge the guests.

Also, for formal night, we had dressed up in a suit and dress, while people in the dining room, were in gym shoes, t-shirts and jeans.  I think the minimum requirements, would be no jeans, or gym shoes and a collared shirt.  If that isn't possible, for that evening, people not meeting the formal attire, split them to another floor.

Navigator of the Seas by rachelroseh5201

Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Enjoyed so much my recent cruise to Grand Cayman, Falmouth, Jamaica and to Labadee, Haiti, my favorite. I am a Gold Member.

Your staff is tops, I cruised on another ship, but no comparison at all.  Staff polite and respectful in every way.

Keep up your high standard, and I will book another cruise with Royal Caribbean.

I tell everyone about my experience on RLC.

Private Island Tease by cflorer

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

In spite of all the wonderful beautiful photos of the exclusive and private island of Cococay, it seems they are only able to stop there about half the time. They don't mention that the number of places they visit will be reduced by 50% without any reduction in the fare, but that's the way it is. We did have a good time on the boat while we passed by the private island destination. I do understand that since the island has no dock that the seas are often too rough to offload on to the "tender boats" that ferry you to the island, but they should be more clear that you chances of getting to the private island are not great. Otherwise it's kind of like a tease. Other than that it was pretty much like we expected. The included food was good but not so good that you didn't want to pay extra for the specialty restaurants (naturally). There were the expected mandatory gratuities, ...which they should just be honest about and add them to the fare since you can't travel without them. There was the begging for a perfect review from everyone from the Captain to the Porters. However, all in all it was a good time and something I would do again.

Never got to go to Coco Cay. The ship wasn't able to dock. by dawniebabe420

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I was so disappointed with my cruise to Cococay and Nassau.  I was expecting to spend a day at the beach (which I paid for) and the ship did not dock there.  We went to Nassau and docked the following day.  If I wanted to go to a beach there I would have to pay an additional fee for an excursion. I probably will not be recommending that cruise to anyone.  It was a total waste of money when you don't get all you paid for.  With the ship not stopping at Cococay, the pool was extremely crowded and not worth it.  I would like if you could direct me to the person to talk to about my experience

First time cruising on the Navigator of the Seas for February break by donnalevy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We cruised last February on the Oasis of the Seas and there is no comparison.  Oasis is so much nicer, with more to do and see, classier, better food selections, shopping, entertainment, etc.

Navigator is a smaller ship so don't have the crowds which is a plus. The cruise was adequate but I wouldn't be a repeat customer.

Sail away by islandgirl52dg

Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

From the beginning of our cruise to the end of our cruise we had soo much fun. We loved all the food in both the buffet and dining room. We loved all the amenities such as rock climbing, mini golf. Dancing was a highlight for us too both on deck and at the lounge. We can't wait to come back!

Although we have done several cruises and many on RCL, this one just didn't seem to be up to par!  Food was average, musty odor in on board, average service, entertainment not the greatest!

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Overall, the cruise was wonderful.  We traveled with a group of 58 and although we were not booked as a "group" the staff on board did everything to accommodate us.  The kids we traveled with were very happy with the full size basketball court but said that the ship would be better off with slides than the surf rider.  Service was very good throughout and there was never an issue finding lounge chairs outside.  The one complaint that I heard over and over throughout the group was that their late night snacks were lacking.  Beautiful ship, comedians were great and there Quest Game was out of control!!!
