Review summary

We cruised last February on the Oasis of the Seas and there is no comparison.  Oasis is so much nicer, with more to do and see, classier, better food selections, shopping, entertainment, etc.

Navigator is a smaller ship so don't have the crowds which is a plus. The cruise was adequate but I wouldn't be a repeat customer.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food is not the greatest including the restaurants that you pay a fee for.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Onboard activities were just ok. The onboard shopping is nothing special that couldn't be purchased at home or on-line. Not enough children's shopping or activities. Children's activties are lacking greatly. They are missing on a captive audience here.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Not enough entertainment. The ice skating show was great. The comedian was entertaining. We had a conflict because our dining time conflicted with some of the other entertainment schedules which couldn't be changed.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
We traveled with a 17 year old, 11 year old and a 9 year old. The 17 year old had fun with the other teenagers but again not enough entertainment. The 9 and 11 year program was just soso. Nothing special with no extra fun activities, arts and crafts, movies, etc. No water park or slide in the pool area which was a great disappointment.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The dining crew is very nice, courteous, and accomodating. The stateroom staff was great also.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship was clean. It could use some upscale detailing.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The stateroom had plenty of closet space, drawers, etc. for 2 people. My kids had an adjoining room to themselves which was very nice. The bedding was clean and comfortable. The tv service was good. I would recommend the Promenade stateroom if you're looking for save some money since you really don't use the balcony because it's soooooo windy and cool outside.

Ship tip

If you don't want a large ship with huge crowds and long waiting times then this ship is for you. It is clean, friendly, entertaining, fun. You won't lose your kids or your spouse and will see many of the same people over the coarse of your cruise which was nice for conversation.

The Oasis is also in another class as well as being a much newer ship. You really can't compare the 2.
