Navigator of the Seas

14 Night Transatlantic Eastbound (Miami To Southampton)

Sail date: April 22, 2018

Ship: Navigator of the Seas

Cabin number: 8115

Review summary

The dining room is not worth the time and food quality has gone down hill. It seems Royal Caribbean is trying to push everyone to the specialty dining. We tried the Dining room for 4 nights and then just stayed with the buffet. The ship needed more to do for a 14 day cruise. The staff was great, especially in the Windjammer.

Sorry you had a bad dining experience.

Navigator was my first cruise and I loved the dining room. The waiters were giving me so much food it was ridiculous. They were awesome. I have never found any that compared to that one. But I have to say that it seems like they are all cutting back. I was just on Holland America and the dining room -I was not happy with at all. Not many choices and small portions. The buffet is very controlled. You do not serve yourself in most areas. They control portions- again. I do like serving myself on a buffet and salad bar but I also understand their side of it. A lot of wasted food and over eating as well. I think it's probably good to keep everything cleaner and controlling the spreading of sicknesses. I actually used room service quite a bit. I like peace and quiet. I was on Navigator 3 yrs ago. Glad you shared the info as I was hoping to go back on again. Now - I can move on to other cruiseships.

I agree. And the specialty dining wasn't impressive either.

Shame to hear it’s gone downhill. It was fabulous last year. Hope it’s not a trend now for RC
