Review summary

My first ever cruise after waiting years to convince my hubby to go. Checked it out for months. Ignored all the negative comments and booked it. Wow the day we boarded was so quick and efficient. I walked on board and cried as it was just so stunning in every way. Had the best ever experience and booked as soon as we came off

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

We were in Yacht Club and the restaurant was stunning. Food was beautiful. Hot served well. Great size portions. Great choices of wines. Canapés and snacks were available 24hrs a day. We never used speciality restaurants as didn’t need too. Buffet we used a couple of times as met others and joined them. Great choice of world foods. Morning time we were late to breakfast and it was a feee for all but only till about 11am. Calmed down then. Again great choice. Plenty of bars to choose from, we loved the master of the seas and le Atilier. Great choice of drinks in all bars up to £13 with premium drinks package. The karaoke bar was also very very good. Just needed to stay open longer say to 1am Bars are plentiful and

Onboard Activities

Plenty of pools to choose from. Climbing bridge and water park. Jacuzzis everywhere. Great gym and spa too. Indoor activities we didn’t try but we’re great for families. Quizzes on in the day time and other activities like footy and dance classes. Daily planner everyday showing what was on.

Entertainment

Great shows in tje carousel lounge that you paid for. do on the app before you board as much cheaper than when onboard. Fantastic cirque de solei style shows. The main theatre put on fantastic shows twice a night. Some afternoon ones too. The best show I loved was the cruise staff show. Absolutely brilliant.

Service and Staff

The staff and service were absolutely fantastic. Can’t fault them. Always there to get you a drink or snacks. This wasn’t just in YC but in all the bars.

Ship Quality

Ship was pristine. Everyday you saw cleaning going on into the early hours. Everything was well maintained. The staff dealt well with obnoxious customers. Plenty of them onboard who thought they were better than everyone else.

Cabin / Stateroom

YC INTERIOR. knew it was small but worth the extra to upgrade to Yacht club. All clean and well set out. Plenty of room for all my 16 dresses, 10. Pairs of shoes, day clothes and hubby’s clothes. Bathroom was lovely too. You had their shampoo and body wash plus lots of other bathroom toiletries in YC. Bed was really comfortable and I slept brilliant on this trip.

Another gorgeous port. Such lovely views from the top of the steep hills but worth it

Casablanca, Morocco

Horrendous. Harassed by the local taxi drivers trying to get you to use them. We walked about and hour to nearest market and then back as it wasn’t open when we got there.

Cadiz (Seville), Spain
