Lovely ship and staff by reneeearliecola

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: MSC Seaside / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The MSC Seaside is a beautiful, clean ship and a peaceful, relaxing adventure. I met several women from different cities who were also solo travelers or with family groups. I have planned to book more cruises on MSC as this is my third one with this cruisline. I did not care for all the children in and out of the casinos and bars, sitting in areas where they shouldn't be allowed. Other than that, I didn't have any problems with the ship, staff, meals, casino or the cruise in general.

First Time on MSC - Wanted to love it but disappointed in ship and food by jabuddy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: MSC Seaside / Destination: Caribbean - Western

It was our first MSC cruise and we had high expectations but were disappointed in the food quality and selections and ship layout/decor. No soda package for kids or grilled cheese. The entertainment was very good and the embarkation and disembarkation process was excellent.

Amazing ship, awesome busy week with tons to do. by JoseGarcia3507

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: MSC Seaside / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Everything was great, the boat is a sight to remember, massive in size and things to do. The water park on the ship is really something to see and use, especially while at Sea. My only issue was the door down dining, there was not enough time to finish your meal. We were literally asked to leave in three occasions whole eating out dessert to make space for the next seating. I would have understood if we were just sitting and chatting, but we were in the middle of dessert. Not cool. Other than that, great ship and I would definitely consider another trip on MSC.

I would not recommend unless you get a yacht club (VIP) room. by motocruiser19

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: MSC Seaside / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Overall I wouldn't recommend this ship. Personally I think, that because they're a Euopean cruise line and this ship isn't in the US full time, they don't cater to the US market well. A bunch of little things add up, and additionally the guests are rude and you'll find it's not the Americans. You don't get an all inclusive feeling so be prepared to have a big bill at the end. Also if you afford it pay for a yacht club room, the rest of the space is too crowded.

Beautiful but costly ship!! by tcurry07

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: MSC Seaside / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Nice but wish more things were included. Like better drink choices that weren't watered down. More activities for younger kids besides swimming.

I was disappointed that fact we could not go to san Juan, I know safety was important. Be a 1sr time traveler I would think that we would of went to another island. The refund did not justify the 2 days we were not on land. Other then that, I enjoyed by garnesleslie

Good time, but not great! by johnb0218

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: MSC Seaside / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We go on many cruises. Holland Am. food is SO much better, and will NOT allow the guests to touch the food. It is behind glass and "they" serve you, which is SO much cleaner on a boat of 5,100+ people. Food in marginal, but the staff was nice and polite. We had the base liquor package which was extremely limited on brand quality. MSC; probably not again.

Poor experience. by navgulati

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Seaside / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Onboard activities were limited. Ship too crowded. Shore excursions were not well executed. One day before my departure I was notified my fully paid, guaranteed reservation was cancelled due to their overbooking. It took a while to get it restored- wasted my time. Will not recommend this cruise line to anyone. Poor experience.

Horrible by chrissye28

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Seaside / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I will never take another MSC cruise it’s geared towards Europeans or Spanish people Americans definitely do not feel welcome on the ship we were treated very rude. Very boring and the food was terrible they pretty much serve you the same seven things for seven days. The last day they only served us pizza and you could tell it was the leftover stuff that they were just trying to get rid of in a hurry before the new passengers were to get on. If you’re American either go on Royal Caribbean or carnival you will have a much better experience.

Trust, then verify by jyllfoy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: MSC Seaside / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Trust and Verify, because what you're told is not necessarily true. Our family was disappointed with this cruise simply because we expected something different. We were told that this ship was only staffed with an Italian crew (it wasn't), that the dining was exceptional (it wasn't), that the Aurea Experience was far and away the best option for booking on this ship (not necessarily), and that the port stops and excursions were A++ (again, not true). We will not cruise with MSC again. All of that being said, the sailing was uneventful (always a good thing), the crew/staff of the MSC Seaside were extremely personable, helpful and great to deal with, the ship really is a floating city, and we learned - again - that it's people who make the experien

Great Family Cruise by jeremyla9597

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: MSC Seaside / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Overall a great experience. Very crowded though. Definitely a get what you pay for situation with the quality of cabin, food and beverage and excursions. I felt like initially I got a good rate with discounts on the grand suite($6000). But I had a $2000 bill the last day for excursions and dining upgrades. The Aurea experience was marketed as this amazing package with spa and private decks and signature dining etc etc. The reality is if you don't get that package the experience would have been significantly less rewarding and possibly not worth it. If you don't have the private deck you might not even be able to fit on the other decks. The signature dining doesn't include your teenagers, so bring $100 per person for them. The drink package was not even close to being worth it unless you are going to consume about 100 drinks in a week. So, great cruise. You get what you pay for however. Spa services were too expensive to justify.

Very nice cruise! Big, modern ship! Great excursions! by staabdan1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: MSC Seaside / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We had a great time and was a good mix of relaxation combined with exhilarating excursions. Make sure you research your excursions ahead of time and know what you are getting. Some excursions included lunch and, most importantly, alcoholic beverages! Some didn't. I would definitely go back.
