We had an enjoyable time and plan on cruising with MSC again. Don’t expect towel animals. 😢
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Lines moved quickly. Took us about 15 minutes from the time we got into building to the time we actually got onto the ship
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Didn’t go to any speciality restaurants. Went to main dining room for breakfast and dinner. Food was good but not a huge variety. Always asked for medium rare on my steak and never got it right. Always over cooked and tough.
Buffets were a joke. Hoards of rude people cutting in line. The food was pretty much the same everyday. No variety.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We played trivia everyday. They had them at different times and were always fun. Activities on the pool were also fun.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The shows in the theater were spectacular. They were always the highlight of the evening. The Michael Jackson impersonated was phenomenal. 70’s and White party were a blast. The improv group was hilarious
Children's Programs

My granddaughter has a blast at camp. We especially loved the talent show they did
Service and Staff
2 out of 5
MSC does not pride themselves on customer service. They could stand to take some lessons from Carnival. We never saw our room steward. Our rooms were always clean but on Carnival you have more interaction with them.
Very hard to get drinks from servers. They don’t ask if you would like a drink or come up to you. You pretty much have to flag them down

Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Here Carnival could take decorating ideas from MSC. Our room was very spacious for an inside cabin and comfortable
Ship tip
Don’t go excepting this ship or it’s crew to be like Carnival or Disney. It is different. Like all things, everything has its advantages and disadvantages. We had a terrific time on the Seaside and are going on the Davina in February
We arrived at 5pm and left at 1am. Our dining time was 5:30. We didn’t get off the ship. We had been there before, so we didn’t feel the need to revisit. Besides not much to see that late.
