Unforgettable birthday cruise by outtaplace

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: MSC Seashore

Let me start by saying this was a my 55th birthday cruise. For 25 yrs when asked I never wanted anything til this cruise. Well the wait was well with it from the group I was with (8), to the group of friends I made and every crew member I interacted with made this the most memorable week I have had. Embarkation was incredibly fast. The shows I saw were awesome. Food was good over all but I am not to picky. It was just amazing in every aspect. Already booked the same ship in September with people we met on this cruise. I truly think it will only be MSC for me from now on.

Beautiful ship, very nice staff, great private island but the food could be better by timandcarol1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Seashore

We enjoyed the cruise very much. The only improvement needed is with the food. It was not as bad as many reviews we read, but they do need to up their game.

Below average yacht club experience compared to other MSC ships. Agree with some of the posts about poor service and disappointing food

Overall we had a good time but MSC could use some improvements. Still a good value for the price and would go again on a good deal.

One and done. by tmsmith23

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Seashore

All in all not a good cruise at all. I have been on 24 cruises and this would be 23 or 24 on my list, the Carnival Sensation was a crap ship, this one is new but there was more to do on Sensation.

Great Yacht Club Experience by cmw80

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Seashore

I have never written a cruise reviewing my life but feel compelled due to all the negative reviews I've read about MSC. Experienced cruiser, having done a couple carnival, a couple MSC and numerous RCCL. Like many, I cruise in part for the value but understand you get what you pay for. I will acknowledge that we stayed in the Yacht Club so there were greater expectations and we were not "exposed" to what others may have been. With that said, we were thoroughly impressed. PROS: MSC Seashore is a stunning ship, absolutely pristine in every way. The ship was spotless, constant cleaning and upkeep going on. The food in the Yacht Club exceeded expectations and was significantly better than the 15+ prior cruises I've been on. Homemade pastas, virtually limitless seafood options and very good steaks. The service could not have been better. The rooms are spacious and the linens, towels etc. are significantly upgraded. The pool deck amenities are vastly different with plush chairs, loungers, towels, amazing service, plenty of room, available chairs etc. In summary, the Yacht Club experience buys you better food, ammentities, service, and maybe most importantly, space. The ability to not have to fight for a chair or cramming next to someone on a pool deck is priceless in my opinion. CONS: The layout of Seashore is slightly awkward while trying to get to your social and entertainment venues. It's hard to match the ease of ships designed with promenades. Elevators are unusual and can be frustrating due to modern design but we don't mind doing stairs so not a real issue. Drink service in main ship areas can be slower at the most popular venues but was never terrible and you can always walk to a quieter venue. Some staff are not fluent English speakers, thus less engaging, but staff effort or politeness was never an issue. THE REST: MSC has the best coffee's and pizza at sea...period...not even close in my opinion. The private MSC Island, Ocean Cay, is absolutely gorgeous, tranquil, perfect for adults and unlike other cruise ship islands. It does not have activities for kids other than the beach. If not if Yacht Club, MSC is not as efficient as other cruise lines with the operation of the ship, services, as a whole. MSC shows its Italian routes in decor and activities. Production shows are better than other cruise lines on average but there are less activities planned, especially during the day. You're likely not getting the steal drums, poolside reggae bands, dance clubs etc. CONCLUSION: Try MSC. It is worth a shot. If you try Yacht Club, you may not be able to go back to traditional cruising!

Great value cruise by Srkl2l6

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Seashore

Cons: Bad food overall. Bathroom wasn’t completely clean on embarkation. Service was iffy. Crowded lines. Decks were often closed and front of ship inaccessible. Pros: we were upgraded to a balcony for free. They don’t always charge for alcohol in dining room (only). Ports were fantastic. Although most food was bad, they had fantastic pizza and meats/cheese. Pretty ship with plenty of activities.

BEAUTIFUL SHIP, GREAT STAFF by BCROP

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Seashore

We used to cruise Royal Caribbean quite a bit some years ago. It was our favorite. Since we have started cruising again we have found the Royal Caribbean to be a bit pricey. We've done 4 cruises since 2023 (1 NCL, 1 Holland America, and 2 MSC cruises. We also have two more planned for this year; a 20 day Princess Mediterranean and another 8 day MSC Caribbean). MSC has become our favorite go-to cruise line. The price is right, the staff are phenomenal, the entertainment is plentiful and their ships are beautiful.

PLEASE DISREGARD the negative reviews on MSC Seashore and MSC in general by Luvswaggy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: MSC Seashore

It was a great week, i wish i could start all the way over. I met so many nice people on this ship and even kept in contact with some. I would 100% Recommend MSC Seashore and MSC in general. It’s different, and thats how it should stay. If you don’t like it, stick with another cruiseline🤷‍♂️

Wonderful Caribbean cruise by Maureen4105

Have sailed on MSC many times and love the many age groups aboard, minus the unattended small children allowed to run wild ! Their staff goes overboard (no pun intended) to make guests feel comfortable.

Some people must be much higher maintainance than we are. I have no complaints with MSC and would definitely go on another cruise with them.

Worst cruise ever by ewd0401

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: MSC Seashore

The Bad: This ship was a nightmare. Absolutely never again. The elevators are key padded. We waited every day, every time, for at least 5-15 minutes. I waited for 25 on one occasion. The communication and customer service sucks. The worst ever. Not a single conversation from the staff. Most don’t speak English. They have the identical nasty food options every single day. Not even a good soup option. We all went hungry pretty much the whole day. The lines for the only restaurant are two to three hours long. We literally ate at the buffet every day with shorter but still long lines. We tried to go an hour early and the line was already an hour wait. They open half their space and have one dining room with no check in process. They don’t provide wash rags for the bathroom and only two towels for a occupied three room person. The ship looks way nicer online. I waited about 10 to 20 minutes every time for a drink. The wait for gelato was even longer because it’s served at the bars and you have to wait for a bartender to come over and serve you. The hot tubs are filled to capacity with little kids. Food service was ordered to be delivered at 6:30 and they called at 11:00 to say they would be late. The ignorance of people cutting in front of you was absolutely ridiculous. I didn’t even attempt a show. Embarkment was a nightmare. The same cups, plates, and drinks people brought back to their rooms sat in the hallways the entire trip. I could go on and on, consistently bad. The good: Disembarkation we got there an hour early 6:30 for self express and there was already a long line but that only took about half an hour. We were off the ship and home by 9:30. You have to be out of your room by 7:00. The gelato was good. Trivia was fun. The island was nice despite the 35 minute wait for the transport to south beach. The room and balcony was nice. The karoke was a fun time watching. The bridge of sighs and serenity area are cool.

Long time cruiser disappointed with MSC by Jimmar75

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Seashore

Very disappointed. Long time cruiser, 45 cruises on Carnival, RC, Viking, and Princess. This one missed the mark, never felt the love. Never met cabin steward, room was never cleaned, towels never replaced. In fairness, it was only a two night cruise. Service was poor, food choices were poor, at least compared to other cruise lines. We won’t be doing MSC again. There was never a mention of a follow-up survey and we never received one. The people we traveled with also never received a survey either. It was as if they knew this cruise was not a good one. First time cruisers might have been impressed, but anyone who has cruised before could feel the difference. Good points were…ship is beautiful and shows were very good. All else fell short. Sorry.
