Review summary

It was a great cruise. I booked another while on board. In talking to the employee who was booking me, I came to understand just how much MSC has worked to appeal more to a US audience. I hope they always keep their Italian flair though and don't Americanize too much.

Embarkation

It was so fast I am counting it as a cardio workout. Pulled into the port parking at 10:30 and was on the ship before 11:00 AM!

Everything was excellent except for a couple things. Way way WAY improved over previous MSC cruises. You can tell they are working hard to please Americans while still retaining their Italian flair!

Onboard Activities

I'm not one for crowds but there was always fun to be had, always room in the spa and always empty lounge chairs.

Entertainment

The shows were amazing! Get there a full 30 mins ahead for seating. Pull up the app on your phone and book the next night's show while you're waiting for the show to start!

They obviously have worked very hard in this department. Zero bad experiences this time! Seems they got rid of the ones who looked down on Americans 😂

Don't believe the negative reviews. They are either very unhappy people, or employees of other cruise lines trying to damage MSC. Just go and decide for yourself. Unless you are unhappy in life. Then please stay home and spare us!
