The deluxe balcony was very uncomfortable and we PAID EXTRA FOR IT. It was very small, the closet was stuck to the bed, no space to walk. The shower was for small people it was awful. The shower floor was dirty, we had to take showers with sandals on. Nasty grimy and dirty. TERRIBLE!

Yeah. Missed port calls are never included in insurance my friend. You probably should have moved your booking knowing this could be probable with a hurricane happening. I was on Divina during the same time and our 4 night cruise turned into 6 night cruise with only 1 original call and one other not original D.R. next to your ship. Lesson learned I guess for you🌀

Ports are never guaranteed

Read your contract

Uh it’s called a hurricane! Ask Mother Nature for refund as this is not MSC fault. Currently on the Sea Shore in Puerto Plata D.R……and I am glad Mother Nature caused a change in the ports of call, DR is much better than Cozumel. Sucks you had a bad time, we are having the times of our lives!

Oops sorry 😞 thanks

Thanks for the review. No itinerary is ever guaranteed per the cruise contract everyone agrees to. Ships can and do change itineraries for a variety of reasons, including weather, mechanical issues, political unrest, etc. If you want to be reimbursed for an itinerary change, book travel insurance through one of the Nationwide premium plans that offers that option.

Sorry but it does happen that way. During hurricane seasons even more. Either go with the flow or cancel if insured. Better luck next.

Didn't you hear about Hurricane Fiona? 🙄🤔🙄

This is on you, not the cruise line. You need to be very flexible when it comes to cruising.

First of all: READ YOUR CRUISE DOCUMENTS. They state very clearly that the cruise line is not responsible for missed ports or itinary changes, and that no refund is given in any case, UNLESS it states so. The governments of those ports have EVERY right to close those ports for any reason they want to and the cruise lines will either change ports or make it a sea day. Secondly: If you want compensation, buy insurance that covers that. Most likely, NO insurance covers missed ports or itinerary changes.

Hate it didn’t go as planned, and too bad the ports changed, but that can happen. No doubt it even states that in your cruise contract. Remember, be flexible and enjoy what you have rather than obsessing over what didn’t happen. You’ll enjoy your time so much more. Hopefully the next will be better.
