Book your cabin as close to mid-ship elevators as possible. There are no aft elevators for passengers, aft cabins must walk to mid-ship elevators.

Have an open mind about your food experience. Be willing to try something new. You miss a lot if you stick to only the buffet but even that is very good.

MSC Meraviglia is a beauty and with low passenger count and super low cost, now will be a good time to sail on her if you want to try out a new line/ship. We feel very safe onboard.

Avoid booking a cabin on Deck 14 as Deck 15 holds two pools and the buffet. Many complain of constant chair noise from the deck above. I like to keep at least 1 deck of passengers above me.

Wait until Covid restrictions are removed if you really want to enjoy the freedom of this ship. And the 48 hour cancellation policy is worthless.

Beware of "free-to-reschedule", call center agents and "promo package". 1) My roommate decided not to sail at this time (fear of Covid-19 exposure). I called to reschedule for later date (any time after June 2022). I was told I had to pick a sailing date but I won't know the cost until mid February as MCS was in process of scheduling at this time. This was unacceptable so I said I would go on current trip (for single-guest cost - about $100 more) but was told I cannot go on this sailing alone...really??? 2) When we booked this cruise ( November 12, 2021) MSC was offering "All In Drinks, Wifi, and up to $400/cabin Onboard Credit" included in the cost....we actually couldn't book the cruise (on MSC site) without the promo. I took screenshots during the reservation process as a reminder to myself. MSC refused to honor this promo package even tho I had screenshots. 3) 6 days prior to cruise I began receiving emails from MSC telling us to "check-in". I was unable to check-in on the MSC site...it would not accept my cabin number in confirmation email - 8127. MSC phone agent explained that even tho my confirmation email lists my cabin number, it was taken away because we are "Bella" level meaning we would be assigned a cabin no less than 4 days prior to cruise. 4 days prior to cruise, I received another email about checking in. Believing our cabin had been assigned, I again tried to check-in online. By the way, check-in must be completed 48 hours prior to sail date. Again I called MSC and agent told me I had been misinformed...I would not know cabin number until embarcation. I explained MSC's rule that we are required to check-in two days in advance of sailing. Agent listed 11 cabin numbers and told me to pick one. I picked one and she checked me in. 5 minutes after call I received an ticketing email and saw and additional $225 charge!!! I called again, was told agent made an error and $225 charge was removed. Two days prior to sail is when I called to ask if we could reschedule and was told the info I mentioned earlier in the note (#1). She also said I have two reservations for this one confirmation number and one of the reservations has a balance of $225. She said she would correct this. After a 27 minute discussion about #1, agent hung up on me. I called right back, spoke with another agent, and after 2 hour 38 minute phone call, was able to resolve my issues. 4) Since the cost of future cruise in unknown...and we didn't want to lose funds we have already invested, my roommate reluctantly said she would go but we both must avoid contact with others. So we participated in no activities, kept our distance and befriended noone on the ship. Upon returning to port, my friend stated she's no longer interested in cruising...this was a very disappointing experience.
