Cruising in January is fun.... Less people onboard and great weather. This is our 2nd cruise on the Meraviglia and it was as great as our first one. Absolutely beautiful ship and fantastic crew. Will definitely sail on her again in the near future.
Embarkation

This was the first week where MSC was testing everyone regardless of vaccination status. The process was smooth as we were amongst the first passengers to arrive. The whole test procedure took about 45 mins and the rest was super quick. I think the extra testing ensure as little COVID positive guests getting on the ship, making it safer for everyone onboard.

Food and Dining

I can only comment on the MDR and Buffet. The buffet is typically what you can expect from a buffet... Good variety to choose from, some good and some are ok only. The food choices in the MDR for dinner are a little different than other lines, with an European twist. We love the food and dessert. The service in the MDR is first class.
Onboard Activities

We did some trivia in the main deck pool which was fun; also hang out a lot in the jacuzzi and even the aqua park. Will need to check out the rope course as we didn't have the right footwear. Overall, there are plenty to keep ones busy.
Entertainment

Unlike some other reviewers, we enjoyed all the shows in the Broadway Theater. Some of the performers were absent due to quarantine but those who performed, did an excellent job. It was a real a shame that we didn't get to enjoy the band Off the Records as one of the members were in quarantine.
Service and Staff

One word... fantastic. Everyone we have interacted with were super friendly and kind. As we have sailed on her only 2 months ago, some of the staff actually remembered us, which is nice.
Ship Quality

The ship is so modern and glamorous... And they did a great job of cleaning constantly. It's a large ship so be prepared to get your step count up.
Cabin / Stateroom

Beautiful balcony cabin...we picked a larger size balcony... Large enough to hang a hammock. It was super fun. I heard enough complain about the lack of storage in the closet...we are a party of 3 and have no issue.
Ship tip
MSC Meraviglia is a beauty and with low passenger count and super low cost, now will be a good time to sail on her if you want to try out a new line/ship. We feel very safe onboard.
We did a private excursion you the Mayan Ruins which was very interesting. Spent the afternoon at Krazy Lobster... Lovely affordable local dishes and a great way to spend a few hours at the beach. Grand day
