The overall rating of 4.3 stars that the review tool calculated was much too low. I would give the cruise a rating of 4.7 stars. I would have rated higher, but we did not have the option of sailing on a larger ship from Brooklyn, NY

As long as you're ok with very poor service, the cruise and boat are nice and you get what you pay for. This is my 2nd time on the MSC Meraviglia, so I wasn't surprised by the penny pinching quality but the service took a huge nosedive since my 2023 cruise. They did improve the embarkation and disembarkation SIGNIFICANTLY though. We were on and off the ship in minutes vs. hours in 2023 when they first started sailing from Brooklyn. Not sure I would do it again to be honest. If you find it comparatively much cheaper than other cruises you're comparing, go for it. If on par or within 25%-30% of price, then go for something else to be honest.

Overall we felt this cruise was average. We’ve been on more than 5 cruises and we feel it would’ve been better had we more time on the island and less time on the boat but the ship needs to make money that way. The clientele onboard was the downside to the cruise. Although it was a family cruise, the passengers were dressed like slobs, very gluttonous and wasting food like crazy and many people didn’t even have manners, letting their kids run past people with hot drinks or food. It was so annoying, even the cruise ship entertainment director made a few jokes about people’s kids being a bit too much on the ship without their parents enforcing any rules or containing them in any way.

When I booked this cruise via America airlines cruise, I did not realize it was cost me $1265 more than it would had I booked it directly with the cruise line. This was our first time using a third party and certainly is our last!

This was an AWESOME cruise. The pre-cruise stay in New York got things started and it just got better from there. Bermuda was AWESOME.

I truly enjoyed the cruise it was just what I needed and no signs of the hurricane that hit the Friday before sailing.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend MSC Meraviglia. As a frequent cruiser, simple processes were very unorganized. Little signage, bad queues, and poor communication skills. Needs more staff or less people. The buffet is not designed to encourage flow of people; cups, silverware, and beverages were constantly out of stock. Fewer wait staff walking around to guests and the bars need more staff, dedicated runners or better queue management. For a 2017 ship, it seems dated, dingy and not cared for. Worst part, we checked in 2 luggages, only 1 made it. Spent first 2 days constantly checking in with Customer "Service". Only received emergency pack with cheap toothbrush, razor & too small tshirt. They were not compassionate, knowledgeable or forthcoming with how to continue a 7 day cruise with no clothes, deodorant, socks or toiletries. We finally got someone to confirm they cannot locate the luggage and we will be receiving $50 credit to spend at overpriced shops on board. If you think $50 would be enough to at least cover a 3 pack of underwear, you'd be wrong.

It would not be our first choice in booking a cruise but would definitely try MSC again depending on value and itinerary.

I read all the reviews and knew what we were going into. This cruise served our purposes of spending a week together as a family of 13 celebrating my 70th birthday. It was convenient for us, as we live near the Brooklyn port and didn't need to fly-but my overall impression was the reviews are correct-MSC needs some major improvements. We will not be sailing with them again.

Wonderful experience. Clean ship. Good entertainment. Lots of activities to choose from. Tasty food selections. Friendly staff. Great service!!!

I’ll stay with Celebrity cruise line. However met some really nice people which made this trip better than it was. Again staff excellent.

Ship is good clean but staff are not friendly, you have to pay for everything on ship ( drinks , intertainment, restaurants..)

We (family and friends totaling 26) absolutely LOVED everything about our experience aboard the MSC Meraviglia. The ship is huge, and we hardly ever felt it moving, yet we quickly familiarized ourselves with all its details. The variety of food options was immense and fabulous. From casual dining to fine dining, there was something for everyone. The entertainment was top-notch, featuring classical performances by highly ranked artists. It was truly memorable. However, we were disappointed with the photo booth experience. The process to get the photos at the end of the cruise was quite stressful, involving too much negotiation and hassle to obtain our own copies. This process could definitely be more friendly and streamlined. Overall, we had an incredible family vacation and didn't want it to end. We're already looking forward to sailing again soon!

This is the WORST cruise I have every been on. I have never had a complaint with the many cruises I have been on until this one. I will never travel MSC cruise again. I will travel the same destinations I've already traveled if I leave from New York/Jersey with Royal Caribbean or Carnival Cruise.

When I booked this cruise through I Wes supposed to get on onboard credit. I have no idea what happened to it. I never received it. Very disappointed in

This was my first cruise ever. Single traveler. Beautiful ship! Very clean and the staff are amazing. Sad we had very bad weather, 5 days out of the 8. We couldn’t dock at Ocean Cay due to bad weather.

Yacht club making worth every penny!!!! Great service and staff felt luxurious from start to finish

We would definitely book this cruise again and recommend to others due to low cost and value for money. Our only complaint was the food was not as good quality as other cruise comps we have had in past.

The workers are awesome and should be recognized more. They were very nice and very helpful!!! Priya our guy who cleaned our room was very good
