This was my first time sailing with MSC. Overall, they were comparable to Costa (the other European line I previously sailed with) but inferior to other lines. The check-in process was a bit disorganized. Managing our onboard accounts was confusing and not user friendly. Beautiful ship! Overall, food was average but entertainment was great. Lots of new features and activities that other ships are don't offer.

Port staff are pushy and/or unenthusiastic. Don't let them pressure you into leaving a tip as they don't do much. MSC needs to go completely electronic and eliminate the need to print boarding passes and luggage tags.

I enjoyed their dance fit (Zumba) class, water park, pools, tanning on deck, and clubbing.

Their Cirque de Soleil shows were brilliant as well as the pre-show entertainment. After dinner stage shows were also good overall. The DJ at the main pool was hot, the DJ in the Attic/Horizon bar was not.

Room steward was super friendly and made up our room several times per day. The assistant dining room supervisor looked after us personally. One dining room server had a bad attitude.

Beautiful and clean but low ceilings and several unpleasant smells throughout the ship.
Cabin / Stateroom

Smallest interior cabin but well-designed with a good amount of space to move around. Modern bathroom and good storage space.

If you are picky about food, I would not sail with MSC.
