Ports were great. Ship would have been ok if our room had worked out.
Embarkation
1 out of 5
Ship was late. Were given a number with no explanation. Boarded the ship after a 5 hour wait. Long lines, no food. A simple email ahead of time would have let us know to eat lunch since we would not be eating at the buffet.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Food was interesting and well prepared. Gluten free and sugar free items were quite limited.
The Coffee Corner
1 out of 5
Did not open until 3 pm. Weird for a coffee bar.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
With the number of different languages, it was difficult to have trivia contests. Only visual games. We are not active people, but the dance lessons looked fun.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The shows were very entertaining. Didn’t last too long and were quite fun.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
The waiters were fine at dinner. Lunch in the dining room was hit and miss. Waited a long time to get dessert served and there was a difference of opinion on whether we needed to pay for our mineral water or not. The room steward was unable to provide facial tissue...only an extra roll of toilet paper. The glasses in the room were never changed the entire 12 days. One glass had a flaw, so I knew. Not sure how clean they actually were but they were shiny and clean looking.
Ship Quality

Very attractive, however, every night around 5 o’clock they sprayed a scent through the common areas. I had checked ahead of the cruise on this because of my perfume allergy. Got wrong information. This scent worked its way up to the cabin and by the end of the cruise I had lost my voice and had a sinus infection.
Cabin / Stateroom
2 out of 5
The cabin was fine, but was not the cabin we chose. We started in cabin 7005, which would have gotten 5 stars since the window was twice as big. Had an issue with hot water. They moved us but the room was not what I had chosen and, although the same class, was far inferior.
Ship tip
Plan on poor communication. Getting off the ship in each port is tedious. Plan for that.
Took excursions both days. One day was great. Second day had a terrible guide. Glad we visited Jerusalem and Sea of Galilee, but don’t care to go again.
