Take advantage of the specialty restaurant offers. Try the steak in the main dining room menu ($18). It was fantastic. Be aware that you cannot get off the ship unless you are on an MSC excursion. And you are not allowed to buy food or souvenirs from the local vendors.

Look at your drink package. Not all bars on the ship will honor it. Each bar seemed to have their own rules on what drinks were included.

At the moment MSC does not allow individual shore excursions. You are not allowed to leave the ship unless with a excursion booked with MSC. We booked, due to three cancellations, the cruise last minute and we’re only able to book two excursions. We knew about the policy, but I never thought that it would bother me that much. Be prepared to encounter a lot of smoking and vapes all over the ship!

Upgrade to Yacht Club, you won't regret it. We loved the ability to go to the private parts of the ship when we felt overwhelmed while traversing the public portions.

Don't book this room if you sleep early. The main loud entertainment area is just below and very raucous and loud till about 1 am.

Edge bar staff is awesome! Bar service in the buffet is awesome! Just push the button and all your drinks come to you. To play ping pong or foosball in the jungle pool, you need to get the rackets and balls at the sports plex desk. Kind of a pain, but on the same deck.

Additional costs are much more expensive than you think, especially for things like the bowling alley, VR maze, and speciality dining. This is definitely a cruise that pushes sales on you, hard, no matter where you are and how far you are in to your cruise. If that's ba big put off, this might not be the line for you.
