Review summary

The miss information and lack of knowledge from staff regarding all the paperwork needed to go on this European cruise was astounding. I had to call multiple times to get answers to confusing information on the MSC website regarding MSC Insurance vs Leisure Care Insurance, Types of Covid testing, Excursions w/ Green Pass, etc. Each time I called I would get a different answer and it was very confusing. And it made us not trust that we would be prepared to get on the ship. Can we say anxiety. They also changed the requirements for type of Covid testing the day before getting on the ship from Antigen to PCR but a supervisor let our group of 8 on with our paid tests. Another issue was not being allowed to buy souvenirs at some of the ports of call (except in duty free shops at the port). I suggest that the ship have an area onboard to have souvenirs from each port of call people can purchase. We have payed thousands to go on this trip and can't shop due to Covid Protocols. Mask Wearing ALL the Time. You would think after having multi Covid Tests and required All are Vaccinated that we could be on the ship without masks. It was over kill in our book. We are already in a Covid protected bubble. The ship was beautiful but the miss information has left us with a bad experience.

A lot of the Spa actives we enjoy were closed due to Covid restrictions. So we didn't purchase a Spa Package this time. The Nail Salon was great.

Charged us for in room mini bar juice that we did not drink. Also charged for bottle water that we learned was not in our drink package and should have gotten to bring to the room.

The room was too small for this experience and not enough closet space for 2 people. It was very clean and the attendant was nice. Our room was changed by when you accidentally canceled all our excursions and purchases and had to rebook everything with the drink package promotion. So we didn't get the room we chose when booking.

Ship tip

Look at your drink package. Not all bars on the ship will honor it. Each bar seemed to have their own rules on what drinks were included.

Disembarkation

We were able to get our Covid Test on ship to travel back to the US and have priority to leave first due to an early flight.
