Book excursions before you go, ask for double helpings at dinner (if you are hungry) most food served is cold, tell them you want it hot and keep telling them (although we did for a month and it never improved) order veg and potatoes with your main course or you won’t get them. Have a long siesta late afternoon so that you can be awake for the late night entertainment

Work out which main dining room you are allocated to and how to find it! Enjoy the atmosphere in the main attrium or the bars around it. Sports bar on this class ship are a good place to catch live sports on the tv, esp if football is on!

You don't need towels, shower gel or shampoo or your travel washing line ( just bring the pegs) but you will need to bring a travel size hair conditioner if you use it.

It's an Italian ship, wich is very obvious if you are on board. We didn't meet any other Dutch people onboard (wich we dont mind) and few Englisch/American guests. Mostly Italien, French and Spanish. We dont mind and liked te international vibe. But if you like to speak your own language with other guests and are not one of those nationalities, maybe another cruisliner is a better fit. Also the food is Italien/mediteranian, so keep that in mind also.

COMMUNICATION BEFORE THE TRIP. When I was searching for any information I should know before the trip because of the COVID Omicron restrictions all I got from MSC was that it was two days out and I could no longer check in online. That I was set to cruise and they would see me soon UGH

Keep an eye on the extra expenses and try not to engage the front desk too much. They are not too customer focused

Barcelona, Marseilles, Mallorca ports are far from the city and you may need to take the ship's shuttle (14-17 euros/way/person. A taxi maybe cheaper if you team up with another couple)

You will absolutely LOVE the male piano player/singer who sings LIVE every night. Apologies that I can't recall his name, but believe me - when he plays and sings and you hear him - you will KNOW that is who I was referring to!
