Review summary

In general I will give a 7 out of 10 for this cruise. In the past I did Carnival, NCL, Disney and Celebrity, all of them are much better than MSC. I selected MSC only because I was at Brazil, but I don't think I will select it again in the near future

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was very easy, no more than 15 minutes wait.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Restaurants and buffets are ok but not excellent. There is only one extra steakhouse but very expensive so did not try it. This was a New Year celebration cruise so I was expecting an special dinner, however it was disappointed, do not expect any lobster and not even shrimps

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Loud music dancing is the only activities on board, forget about kids or teenagers programs like other cruise lines.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Dancers and signers are great!, however seeing them every day on every show turns boring. MSC should mix the entertainment with other actors

Children's Programs

1 out of 5
Teenager program is a joke, no activities at all, only hanging by the disco area

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
In general staff is rude, probably due to the language barrier being at Brazil

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
This was ok, except the Sauna area, I paid $100 per person and had to fight every day with the staff to get clean towels and hot water

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Perfect size for balcony cabin

Ship tip

If you select MSC, do not do Brazil trip. 3 ports are the same, just beach and boat trips.

Ports of call

Rio De Janeiro, Brazil

2 out of 5
Must to do the Corcovado Crhist and the Sugar loaf, of course spend time at Copacabana beach

Ilhabela, Brazil

1 out of 5
No much to do... just a boat trip to a nearby beach.

Ubatuba, Brazil

1 out of 5
What a waste of time, there is nothing at this port.

Ilha Grande, Brazil

2 out of 5
Same as Ilha Bella, just boat trips to a beach and a nice area called Blue Lagoon

Copacabana, Brazil

2 out of 5
This was part of the New Year Celebration, I was expecting the ship to be closer to the fireworks. Deck party at midnight was ok but I was expecting so much more.. kind of dissapointed

Salvador De Bahia, Brazil

3 out of 5
This is the only port that I really liked it. Do the historical tour.. do not do the beach tour as it takes more than one hour to get there.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Easy and quick, many taxis outside
