I love this MSC Divina... by Cake67

Sail date: /
Ship: MSC Divina

I love this MSC Divina cruise. We went for the 11 days cruise this new year January 2018. It was our first time cruise with MSC. I personally like it pretty much. It's a Beautiful ship, Brand new and huge. The food is mostly Italian such as : pizza, pasta, and very cheesy. I love the entertainment and performance. They're great and different from other cruises because they mixed it with acrobat. I can't wait to cruise with the Seaside. Will cruise with MSC again 😗

11 day Carribean/Antilles on MSC by ablaze

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

We loved having so many ports on this cruise. The staff was amazing and drink package superb. Kids had a great time as did we. Most beautiful port was Grenada, rainforest island. Aruba is a dry island but we were here during the rainy season so still pretty and plenty to see. Excursions were good but descriptions are definitely lacking. Do some research. Food great compared to the other cruise line we've experienced. Would like to see more "fun" activities like comedy, games, etc. The pool area had some fun stuff happening.

Had a good time. Food... by chong67

Sail date: /
Ship: MSC Divina

Had a good time. Food is mostly European if you like that. Got carving, ethnic food. We end up eating buffet because we like it better. Pizza is just Ok, not much meat. Entertainment is good. Lots of European on the ship when it sail Caribbean. Public men toilet dirty. Need to install men stall. Too much door knob handling. I love the $3 free casino cash on some days. Great value n I pay a great price for 12 days cruise. Will do MSC again.

Had a phenomenal cruise aboard the MSC Divina. The ship was beautiful, with the highlight being the Swavorski staircase. The food though was average, and the shows we're enjoyable

Worst cruise in my experience by GenieCruiser

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: MSC Divina

Worst cruise I’ve ever taken. The ship allowed our booking agent to take over our shore excursion bookings which we had booked ourselves on the MSC web site. None of the tours was satisfactory. At least the food and service were good. I’ll never sail MSC again and I’ll never use iCruise to book again.

Dirty toilets, crowdy, unorganized, terrible food, freezing cold inside of the boat! by janerik

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean

Dirty toilets in public area. Freezing cold! Told the reception this several times but just ignore us! Food in restaurant and buffe did not taste any good!. In buffe people fighting around in tight area to grab some food, hard to find a place to sit! Over crowded with people all around, kids running around and noise everywhere! Will never travel with MSC again! Talked to other passengers who had the same experience as us! If you want a relaxing vacation and good food choose a another company!

Emazing cruise in Carribbean by pdemulder

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean

Our first cruise for my 60th birthday would be in Carraibean with Christmas and New Year. And yes there was a lot of people, fully booked and you felt it. But the expierence was great and we had tons of fun only the embarkment and disembarkation was terrible. Expect to spend a lot of money on drinks and wifi we spended over 2000 $ with the 2 of us on top of the cruise/flight price.

Just got off the ship.... by pabwright

Sail date: /
Ship: MSC Divina

Just got off the ship. The entire experience was calm and civil. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. The food was decent. Small portions designed pretty on a plate. Asking for more was never a problem. My balcony was almost the same size as my storeroom, we had more than enough room inside and out. Very relaxing at all times. It was just such a pleasant experience. Everyone acted like adults and the children were mannerly and under control. Embarkation was fast and debarkation wasnt as fast but it wasn't that bad. This isn't a party ship, this was a ship to relax and unwind. The shows were unique and cultural. This is a cruise for grown people who want to surround themselves with other grown people. The 24 vouchers included in with our room, made life very easy and we didnt even use them all. I would recommend this cruise line

Loved loved loved MSC. We enjoyed the yacht club experience so much we booked another 2 MSC cruises while on board. Biggest complaints honestly? That my 3 year old couldn’t get macaroni and cheese on board and they need more variety in itineraries out of Miami. Amazing.

This was our first cruise... by Enardone

Sail date: /
Ship: MSC Divina

This was our first cruise and it was great. I don't understand the bad reviews at all. Dinner was always timely and hot. Only one time did they not get the temperatures of our steaks right. The shows were fabulous and Mr Jonathan Rodriguez as Michael Jackson on the last night was definitely the cherry on top. The msc Divina international dancers were all great. Svetlana was amazing with her silk rope work. Food was all good. Even for the kids there was always something pretty basic like hot dogs, burgers, and fries. We didn't realize there was a kids menu in the main dining room until the 3rd night when we noticed the children next to us were getting things not on the main menu. Drinks were well poured, but definitely varied between bars. Whenever a bar was busy it could be quite difficult to get service. Multiple occasions I had to get our drinks for us. It took us 4 nights to realize all the good parties were inside at the bars. Atmosphere seemed lacking on the pool deck. Wish there was more 'fun' music playing. They played the same 7 or so Christmas songs on repeat and very quietly. War is Over used to be a favorite song of mine.. Not so much anymore.

Kids club was fabulous! Norm... by misst17

Sail date: /
Ship: MSC Divina

Kids club was fabulous! Norm at the Aqua Bar was the most amazing bartender ever! Other than that the ship and cruise line were poor. Dinner in the MDR was painfully slow and our waiter was smelly. Bar service anywhere besides with Norm was awful. Our steward forgot to refill toilet paper and soap even with reminders from us. Our beach towels weren’t switched out and sometimes trash was left in our trash can. Not impressed by the line.

We paid for the Aurea... by goatmouthb

Sail date: /
Ship: MSC Divina

We paid for the Aurea Experience. I had the receipt to show proof, but we were denied all amenities until the ship could confirm this with the main onshore office. Of course the office was closed over the weekend so it took four days for them to fix it. Basically, we paid a lot of money for things we never received. Even after they ‘fixed’ this, we never received some things and they still charged us for drinks even though we had the all- inclusive drink package. I caught a serious food borne illness. It ruined an already bad experience. The buffet food is not hot. It is not kept chilled or hot. It is just set out in dishes. They do not use steam tables. The cold meats and eggs are not kept on ice even. Specialty dining is from a set menu. Basically everything you order from a specialty restaurant is slightly nicer pre- cooked buffet food kept in warming carts. Included in the package was a one hour massage that lasted 20 minutes! I had my make up done one night in the ship’s salon on they cut my face! Plus my make up was noticeably crooked. I looked like a clown. The housekeeping and food staff are incredibly nice and accommodating. The customer service staff, sales staff, store clerks, and excursion staff are blatantly rude. The cruisers are about 9% Americans. Every one that I talked to agreed that the staff treated the Americans very poorly. As in, it was obvious they hated Americans. Our government still donates approximately half a million dollars a year to Italy. Why. I could not find a single American staff person. Most barely spoke English. I paid $70 for an internet package that they said expired the first day, so basically, I paid $70 for 1 hour of internet. Among the cruisers was a gaming agent from Vegas. He did the casino machines did not pay out like they should. I believe that from my personal experience. The ship was beautiful, but failed to meet every other basic expectation. They try to steal from their customers and get away with it by being out to sea where there are no laws.

This was our first time... by justanothernumber

Sail date: /
Ship: MSC Divina

This was our first time on MSC. We loved it and hated it. Honestly... It went back and forth. Our biggest complaint would be the closing off of areas. We where not happy to be asked to leave the back pool area so they could film. Or reserved for a special group. Plus after being asked to move only to move up front to a sea of orange towels. Crew was very rude when we asked them to put out more chairs. But..... Like I said we were up and down about how we felt. We always have fun. No mater what the cruise line. MSC has not been scratched off our list. We will surely sail with them again. Looking forward to the SeaSide. I forgot to mention. We met so many wonderful staff. They are the ones who make it great. They definitely over shadow the few that where the opposite.

the MSC Divina was a... by mrkitchentalk

Sail date: /
Ship: MSC Divina

the MSC Divina was a beautiful ship but it needed a comedy club I'm so tired of Opera I don't know what to do and after a few days to Pizza got old most people like me were upset when we got to our balcony cabin and found that there was no couch the sports bar was amazing and the food in the sports bar is free most people don't know that if you're looking for a party boat this is not the trip for you. the internet package was a rip off to it is not unlimited so beware I'm just happy they refunded my money. and I'm mad at the pools open up at 7 and close at 10 p.m. come on now. the drink coupons were amazing I still had coupons left over. I can't wait to book the seaside.

I had a great time.... by DanPel

Sail date: /
Ship: MSC Divina

I had a great time. This was my 6th different cruise line so I have some cruise experience. Some things were better on other lines but this one is great value. Our waiter Akash was great. I had lost my wallet and he came to find me in the lobby to return it untouched. I had about $500 cash plus cards in it. I found some wear and tear on a 5 year old boat that I didn’t expect but that kinda stuff didn’t ruin my vacation. The kids club was very good. I found the food authentic Italian being Italian Canadian. It was very good, most cruises have better than average food and so did this one. One time the risotto was warm and not hot. Not the end of the world! I think people complain way too much. I find North Americans harder to please and expect a little more. Every culture has nice people and rude people. I had Aurea experience and to embark was easy. I walked off myself at 8:00 am and it was the easiest out of every cruise I have been on. My time dining was worth the aurea experience alone. Some staff wasn’t overly friendly but they weren’t rude. Our room steward Ozy was very good and had a few long conversations with him.I think overall it’s a great value and I would definitely recommend them!

MSC is great, if your expectations are to expect ANYTHING to happen by Ashlix

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Love MSC, they need to hire me as their Chief People Officer, because as a seasoned cruiser, I give them a 4/5 when it comes to common cultural norms as they said within the Caribbean waters. I like them, but I don't love them, yet. The ship is super pretty, the staff are great, food was great, drink vouchers were great, but its the little things that country sometimes.
