Review summary

The overall experience was good and we booked our next cruise on the MSC Seaside.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
My wife and I made a classic mistake by flying in on the day of embarkation. However, it worked to our advantage, there were no long lines when we arrived at the terminal and we were greeted with smiles as we checked in.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The main dining room experience was good overall. We purchased the specialty dining package before the cruise which allowed us to eat in all four specialty restaurants on the ship. To say that those eating experiences were amazing would be an understatement. In one of the restaurants the Chef came out to speak to us about our meal.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We noticed staff working very hard to keep the community areas clean. The whirlpools were hot and the pool was cool and refreshing. There was ample area to to sit and relax.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We attended most of the stage shows which were cultural and entertaining.

Children's Programs

Our children are adults today.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We received great service from staff across the ship.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
You can tell that the sea is beginning to take a toll on this ship. There are signs of corrosion in several areas. Life in salt spray causes this and the crew was working to re-paint those areas.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin was great.

Ports of call

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

4 out of 5
We enjoyed walking around and talking to the locals.

George Town, Grand Cayman

4 out of 5
The excursion we chose in this port was awesome. Our driver, Trevor, went the extra mile for our group.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
We visited Tulum to visit the Mayan ruins. The trip was fun. It took some time to get off the ship about an hour or so. It seemed as though there may have been a problem with the ship launches. Overall this was a great experience.

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
We had fun at Atlantis and had time to shop in the main area.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
We had to leave early to catch our return flight home. We chose to carry our luggage off the ship. When we disembarked we were sent down a steep staircase hand carrying our luggage from the fifth deck of the Divina. After the first group complained at the bottom of the staircase the crew made a change.
